On the hillside above the Inclined Plane is a magnificent 30’ x 60’ is the Centennial American flag. It flies on a 125’ flagpole, putting the flag at the highest point above the valley. This flag is one of the largest flags in the United States. It can be seen for miles-- from almost any point in the valley. It is illuminated at night and is only lowered during severe weather. Efforts to raise the flag over Johnstown were started by local citizens to commemorate the Flood Centennial in 1989. The flag was dedicated on August 19, 1989.

I feel like it's been a long time since we've talked, and it has.
I miss you so much.
I feel like I will never see you again.
I love you, and I feel like I can't live without you.
Is this what love is supposed to feel like?
Is this aching that I feel the aching that lovers feel when they are apart?
I need you to hold me tight and never let me go.
Shield me from the dangers of the world.
Please my love,
never stop loving me as i will never stop loving you.
Even we are far apart from each other,
But in my heart you are my lover and my mother.
You are the one who gave me birth, and nuture me.
Today it's your day, ur bithday, the day that represente ur nationality
And i'm not there to celebrate with you
