Thanks!
Even with the cloudy skies and rainy weather, these guys are doing their best trying to fix this chronic water line issue and resulting potholes. It's nice not hearing these potholes behind my house for a change today and it's difficult watching them dodge the cars in order to perform their work. I hope someone blesses this crew for successfully surviving the day. They looked a little downhearted but I hope they can end their day with some dry air, a smile and warmth.

-- It was dusk when we stopped at this old house on the side of the road. We couldn't get any closer because it was full of wasps, but at one time someone lived there, and we wondered who, what, when. Decrepit barn like structure in the background.
And I will try to fix you.
So, guess what? I fixed my camera! Well, actually, my dad did, but it's fixed! My new lens, though, is broken beyond repair. So, I'm going to buy a new one! Yay!
If Glee doesn't come back soon, I'm going to die. Just kidding. November 1st, please come faster.
Finally finished the Delta Squad :D a pic of the complete squad will be posted soon. The lighting also doesn't bring out the true color of this custom, it's a lighter shade of green :p but this was the best shot I could get. Anyways, lemmie know what you all think! And if you're gonna fave, comment too please!
Digging through some old work I pulled this one together with new software and skills since I shot this.
Since Operation Fix Long Beach started, Hope For Paws funded the spay & neuter of 200 dogs and cats (and in a few days we'll start a campaign to fix 400 more).
This service is given for FREE to people who can't afford it.
One of my best friends who is running this show is Claudia Hoffmann. She is there every weekend, rallying the troops, convincing people to spay / neuter their pets, works hard to educate the public, and works nonstop to save animals.
(If you don't know Claudia, she is at the center right next to the dog with the dark sunglasses).
Today & tomorrow we have an opportunity to give her a gift (that she doesn't even want), but the goal is really to get the story to the media about one person working hard to change her community.
Here is the link to the competition: gemsoflb.com/#contest
Please vote for CLAUDIA HOFFMANN
Thank you to everybody else involved... dedicated volunteers who are working hard to prevent the suffering of many animals.

I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I...
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you."

A critically endangered leatherback turtle hatchling (Dermochelys coriacea) cradled in the hands of a conservation volunteer. Trinidad and Tobago W.I.
Hatchling sea turtles have a 1:1000 chance of making it to adulthood. Coastal development, light pollution and poaching on nesting beaches continue to adversely affect both nesting females and hatchlings, increasing mortality and decreasing their chances for survival.
