As you can see, this multi-tenant birdhouse appears to need a bit of renovation work. I can understand how the wood could deteriorate due to age, but I am wondering how the metal railings could have gotten bent this way. The house is mounted at the top of a pole in a local park and is probably 12-15 feet off the ground.

We actually talked to the property owner who said he is going to fix it. I doubt it can be done, it's like a life-size jigsaw puzzle. Rural ND.
You reach a point where the only way to fix a situation that continually hurts you or offends you in some way, is to simply walk away.
Not just from people, but places also. The end of an era and new beginnings.
That time has come, not always easy especially when you have cared deeply for others and all that you have created.
There is no malice, there are no regrets.
I will remember the wonderful memories, not the trials instead learn from them.
For now I need to fix me, do what is right for me and mend this broken heart of mine

I've passed by this old place before, it looks as if it could easily be fixed. It's in a lovely spot, far away from everyone except those invited to stay. I think I could live there...after all I do love Wyoming.

The following day the Angel showed the girl to an abandoned theater.
They had to push their way past a broken door and the girl cringed at the dust laden webs clinging to every surface and dangling from an old chandelier. 'This is perfect!' exclaimed the Angel, 'it even has a stage!'

Built in the 1840s, Fort Wayne, in southwest Detroit, has a rich history, but efforts to restore the 96-acre complex have faltered over the years due to a scarcity of funds. While the historic fort itself is maintained by community volunteers, other buildings on the property have fallen into terrible disrepair. The duplexes shown here, which once housed enlisted men and their families, are examples.
But perhaps there is still hope. Michigan's Economic Development Corp. recently commissioned a $235,000 study on revitalizing the fort, and there has been a recent idea floated to make the site into a National Park, which would open federal funding to restore the property.

Life without a keyboard is hard. Looking this good is easy tho. Ayyyyyyy.
I found "Heart" rather difficult, and ended up with two shots (again). The other involved a tiny figurine and is a little "jazzier" (well, definitely), but I liked this a little more, and I've always wanted to use
this little Moomin figurine (a gift from a Finnish friend), "Toffle", who lives in Moomin valley, and is easily frightened. I'm sure Toffle will find his true love soon, I think he is just a little shy ;-)
For the background I used a candle which had absorbed the wick while burning down, and now looks like a cave. The candle is red, but here I found the red too strong, so I desaturated it, ended up with pink, and while pink is not exactly my favourite colour, it goes well with "Heart" - and tomorrow is Valentine's Day ;-).
