11/1/2006 -- Danville fixer-upper.

The image you sent me shows a close-up of a red brick wall with white paint peeling off. The rough texture of the bricks is contrasted with the smooth, flaky paint, creating a visually interesting and somewhat abstract composition. The colors are muted, with the red of the bricks being slightly faded and the white of the paint being dirty and discolored. This gives the image a vintage or rustic feel.

 

The peeling paint suggests that the wall is old and has seen a lot of wear and tear. This could be seen as a negative, but it could also be seen as adding to the character of the wall. The imperfections in the paint and the texture of the bricks make the image more interesting to look at.

This is Crochety Guy. He sits like this all day every day and stares at our house ALL THE TIME. Be grateful he's wearing a shirt. Most times he doesn't.

Tiling behind the door sucks. Here's why:

 

If we pull the door off, then the cats insist on coming in the bathroom and walking all over my fresh tiles. If we leave the door on, we can't get behind it to tile it. Catch 22.

 

I have to make a Lowe's run tomorrow (surprise, surprise) and I'm hoping I have an idea to fix all that.
