After nearly 5 months of constant calls and being ignored, we had enough and threatened the basement contractors with bad publicity and a complaint with the BBB. They showed up within days.

Funny story about this pipe: When we were building the front porch, we kept hitting it and worrying that it was the water main or a gas pipe. Turns out it's just an old useless pipe that Monkey Family left in the ground. At one time it was probably a structural support for a porch or even a column. But here we were all worried and it was just an old useless pipe going nowhere.

Using rocks and block fill to hold the pipe in place around the corner.
