Busy fixing kit today. Dave mending his kayak paddles, and I was getting the sea kayak footrest fittings ready for him to glue them back into place (4th time lucky perhaps this time).
Hopefully next time I take this beautiful boat out I won't find myself sliding forwards and back on the right where the fittings had come unglued. The right side of my back and pelvis were quite sore after my last outing on the sea.

I missed out on so many awesome photos of food, flowers, and people taking photos of other things this month. So annoying!

Laurie, 17, from Plymouth, led a group of Fixers who created a film to highlight the pressures out on military families.
The film, entitled ‘At Your Service’, raises awareness of the emotional strain service children face when a loved one is going through the ‘deployment cycle’ and the stages of pre-deployment, rest and recuperation (R&R), and post-deployment.
The group hope the film will help train teaching staff to understand the issues faced by service children.
Laurie's step-dad is in the Navy.

Well it only took three months (asbestos tile abatement was part of that), but the kitchen and dining room are redone after an unknown and obviously long-term ice maker water line leak. It's interesting how insurance covers things (they didn't pay for new cabinets but paid for the restoration company to take the old fronts off, build new boxes, and then attach the old fronts to the new box).
