Here's what happens when you aren't watching what is going on out front of your house.
Ok, not really. The squares in the driveway were becoming uneven, so KB is replacing the driveway.
This is when they were drilling into the driveway to break it up. Thank goodness I wasn't home for most of the drilling that they did.
A group of Fixers from Launceston, who have lost loved-ones at a young age, want schools to be better prepared to help and support young people in their bereavement process.
To tackle this issue, the Fixers are producing a leaflet for teachers, which highlights how to deal with grieving young people and how to spot signs of bereavement that could negatively affect their behaviour.
Lead Fixer Jasmine Crayton’s brother, Jordan, died of osteosarcoma in April 2010 when Jasmine was only 14.

Nice late afternoon shot on the way home.....we had a lot of snow last week and this older gentleman was out fixing up his lane with a little grading . It was just a warm and beautiful day. His tractor was colorful....blue and yellow !! Of course I had to do something with it, so I used PS paint daubs for a little painterly look.
I ended up using too much adhesive on the floor tiles, so it's been pushing out the grout in some spots. so i'm scraping out all the visible glue and checking for thin grout areas and clearing out those areas too. once I put new grout in the gaps it should be ok again.

After a screening of the Yes Men Fix the World at the Roxie, audience members and other members participated in a performance about Chevron.
The procession went from the theater to the Chevron station at Castro & Market (they emphasized the protest was against Chevron, not the station).

Dale Earnhardt Jr. may have had some divine intervention early in the going of the AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway Sunday.
After coming in to the third race of NASCAR’s Chase eighth in points a rejuvenated Earnhardt looked forward to a solid run to remain in contention for the championship. Earnhardt started the day 21st and was moving up through the field when his Chevrolet suddenly began slowing dramatically.
Earnhardt fell back to 37th and desperately needed a yellow flag to give his crew time to repair a broken right front sway bar. Less than seven laps later Earnhardt got his wish as on a day when weather forecasters predicted only a 30% chance of precipitation, a fortuitous light rain shower brought out the caution. The crew was able to make repairs and Earnhardt was back in the fray.
By lap 37 Earnhardt, a lap down, was able to race into position to get his lap back and remained there long enough to get that lap back on lap 40. Earnhardt began to fight his way through the field and by lap 192 was up into 14th. That would be the highlight of his day however.
On lap 271 shortly after a round of pit stops under caution, Earnhardt was forced in for a loose right front wheel under green.
“I didn’t think it could make it many more laps so we had to come in and fix that,” Earnhardt said. “That got us behind pretty bad and from there on it was a little bit too late to play catch up at that point.”
He came back out 28th two laps down. Earnhardt was able to make up one lap but finished the day 24th. He fell two spots in the standings and leaves Dover in 10th, 34 points back. He’s now fallen five spots in the standings from his high of fifth just two races ago and the same spot where he started the Chase at Richmond.
“That’s racing. That is all I can say,” Earnhardt said. “I have had a lot of stuff happen to me over the years good and bad and you just have to roll with the punches. I don’t think I am B.S.ing myself when I think that we brought a good car to the track. We improved it from practice and I thought we weren’t really that good in practice and I thought we improved on it and we kind of went toward where Jimmie was and it helped my car so we know that was a good direction so we know that for next time we come here because I really have a hard time with this place lately and need to get something figured out here. There was a couple promising things today but we didn’t finish like we wanted to. “
This is another robot with a bulb on its head, which I am fond of. It has fiddler crab-like clamps, and stylish booties.
