The Equipment Ammunition Magazine was a large ammunition storage facility outside Lyness Naval Base that stored ammunition for the many anti-aircraft guns protecting the naval base and air around Scapa Flow. Six large concrete magazines are at this site, in varying degrees of preservation, some including original features and furniture such as non-sparking electrical fittings, steel roller benches, complete windows and secure steel doors.
