Most of the birds and animals in the mara and Serengeti were of the earth tones , so it was nice to get a splash of color supplied by the lovebirds. They are native to a small area of east Africa. The lovebirds are a species of parrot and as such are quite vocal. Their diet consists of primarily seeds and fruits.

In 1901 Paul Bonatz finished his architectural education at Munich Technical University and became the assistant of Theodor Fischer at Stuttgart Technical University. In 1908 he took Fischer’s seat. Bonatz’s architectural understanding and style was inspired by Fischer and tended towards classicisim. Bonatz improved his principles in a modern way and created a refined monumentalism using simple shapes. This style can be seen in his early projects like the Hannover City Hall and Stuttgart Terminal, as well as his bridge designs of the 1930s. He was a leader and supporter of the Second Nationalist Architecture style while in Turkey in the 1940s and took part in jury committees for competitions including those of Anıtkabir and İstanbul Radio House. Bonatz also taught at ITU Architecture Faculty between 1946 and 1955, and is renowned for important projects such as the Saraçoğlu Houses and the opera building in Ankara.

Urs Fischer, Park Ave., NY, NY - someone at the scene said it sold at auction for $6 million, but I don't know if that's true!
I know - I should have fixed that dust bunny in the corner!
Fischer, La Caletta, Provinz Nuoro, Sardinien, 2018

The port of La Caletta is busy during the day. In addition to the many excursion boats for tourists and the private boats and yachts are also fishing boats and a few larger trawlers at the pier.
This fisherman was sitting at the wharf in the midday sun and mending his net.

This might be the oldest "theater" I've come across - 1884!
www.fischertheatre.com/history.html
"The Fischer Theatre was built in 1884 in Danville, Illinois, and was known as the Grand Opera House at that time. The grand opening was held on November 5, 1884. The lot on which it was built cost $6000, and the building itself cost $28,000 including furnishings. In 1912, the theatre was remodeled and upon its reopening on March 13, 1913, it was known as the Fischer Theater, after a member of its governing board. In 1929, the theater added equipment to project movies, and the exterior was remodeled when apartments and commercial space were added to the front of the building. A large pipe organ was used to accompany silent movies. In 1971, the theater was sold to the Kerasotes Theatres chain. The original seating capacity was about 900, which included the main floor, mezzanine, balcony and boxes. New seating was installed in 1971 when it became a Kerasotes theatre, giving the main floor a capacity of 600.
In 1982, the Fischer Theatre was closed. Kerasotes Theatres removed and sold the building's fixtures, and the building was turned over to the city of Danville. In 1997, the building was deemed unsafe and slated for demolition, but in an attempt to save the building, Danville's Old Town Preservation Association convinced the city to turn the building over to the association. In 1998, the Old Town Preservation Association sold the building to the Vermilion Heritage Foundation. On June 20, 2006, the leadership of the Vermilion Heritage Foundation closed the theater to future events due to increasing utilities and maintenance costs and a desire to re-focus on fundraising for the complete restoration."
