one of my targets in the Serengeti but they have become quite difficult to find

photographed in the Ndutu region in the southeast of the Serengeti, Tanzania

A very small parrot with a limited geographical range, mainly in northern Tanzania east of Lake Victoria.

Due to several reasons including the pet trade, it has become an endangered species

Like with other agapornis species the couples are mates for life.

Yet another view of this quarter. The Schnoor quarter is the oldest documented quarter of Bremen and it has largely preserved its medieval character.

First mentioned in the 13th century. The two oldest remaining buildings are from 1401 and 1402 respectively.

Lake Ndutu - Serengeti - Tanzania

I always think of life savers (the candy) when I see this species.

The little guy was not a good poser and did not feel comfortable with that big camera and long lens.

Test shot taken with Nikon D850 ... mind-blowing resolution and rendering 😊

About 40 miles southeast of Reykjavík near the village of Selfoss, Iceland, lie the remains of legendary chess champion, Bobby Fischer. The simple gravesite is found next to the Lutheran Church in Laugardælir.

Environ 65 kilomètres au sud-est de Reykjavík, près du village de Selfoss en Islande, reposent les restes du légendaire champion d’échecs Bobby Fischer. La tombe modeste se trouve juste à côté de l’église luthérienne de Laugardælir.

When photographing wildlife, I love to capture and portray the more artistic and subtle aspects: Soft afternoon light silhouettes an elephant's beautifully textured face in Namibia's Etosha National Park.

Please enjoy the incredible images my participants captured on our Namibia, Patagonia, Canadian Rockies and Greenland Photography Tours!

These guys (who are often hard to find and photograph) came to a tree right next to our tent so got to photograph them.

In 1713, the Black Plague swept Vienna, and Emperor Charles VI made a vow: if the plague abated, he would build a church dedicated to his namesake, St. Charles Borromeo. St. Charles was a 16th-century Italian bishop famous for ministering to Milanese plague victims. The emperor's prayer was answered, and construction on the church began in 1715.

The Karlskirche was built in the early 18th century on what was then the bank of the River Wien and is now the southeast corner of the park complex. The Baroque master Johann Bernard Fischer von Erlach did the original work from 1716 to 1722.

After his death in 1723, his son, Joseph Emanuel, took over, completing it in 1737. The lavishly decorated interior stands as a testament to the father-and-son duo. J. M. Rottmayr painted many of the frescoes inside the church from 1725 to 1730.
