Traveling is one my biggest desires in the world. Some people desire material possessions but I, on the other hand, desire experiences. I think that experiences are much more important than materials because they have a bigger and longer lasting impact. For instance, I will definitely remember and cherish a trip that I have taken to Hawaii a lot more than I will my newest video game. The photo above is a room reservation that I booked at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando Florida, for my girlfriend and I. We are traveling to Universal Studios, which is a Disney Theme Park. I have never been to any Disney park so I am really excited. I feel like I am going to be a little kid again. My girlfriend shares the same desire as me to travel which is such a blessing. It is amazing having my best friend by my side while traveling to different destinations. Traveling has become a huge part of my identity and I hope that as I grow older, my desire to travel grows stronger.

Premiere prise avec mon nouvel objectif .....WOW je l'adore déja

(a close up view)... my first attempt at painting a flower from looking at the real thing. Not bad for my first time, I thought! Now I just hope I can finish it off with more flowers, and that they come out just as nicely.. and that I don't give up on it.. :)

This is inspired by the beautiful orchids that my husband got for me on Valentines day. They are doing quite well, still. And we know how bad I am at caring for plants!

ZAHS advanced band performs at Grandberry Mall

Zama American High School’s advanced band played for the first time in a local foreign national concert venue May 22 at Grandberry Mall.

Kevin Hanson, Zama American School band teacher, said he has been here nine years and they have been unable to find a venue off-base.

“For this performance opportunity, we had to send a video of the band to be asked/accepted to play,” said Hanson.

The symphonic band of 41 students played a variety of music to include some Disney movie themed music, Batman’s theme song and the Mission Impossible movie theme song.

Hanson said the mall manager was watching the crowd and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

“We were invited to come back anytime,” said Hanson.

Jer's face-up is finished! I actually don't know if it's finished yet, it's the first face-up I've ever done period but I do like it. Still needs some eyelashes and I'm going to experiment with a lip ring. :3

An hour ago I started my first attempt to develop a black and white film. It looks like I was successful :) - although I'm not able to say this by just looking at the negative film. The process of development is described here. It was easier than I thought... well, I have to see the final results to confirm this statement ;).

Harley at the watering hole

With anything brand new, there are new skills to build, a learning curve, and a roller coaster of emotions. That is why it is almost universal that first-time marathoners train before their big race. Not only does training set you up for greater success, but it is half the fun. Running a...

I went searching for the Liguus tree snail for the firsttime today. I did not have much hope for finding any. I was expecting to bitten by a Cotton Mouth first.

Lady Luck was on my side and I found two specimens. Both on Gumbo Limbo trees and both on the south facing side. I did not wander too far off the hiking path since the side paths are more like armadillo trails than paths

The Florida Tree Snail is classified as a species of special concern (SSC) and is being watched closely.
