I am not a patient person; however, I have had to learn to be while being pregnat. I have around 6 more weeks to go. I will then be a patient at a hospital. Then when I get home I will have to be patient with a new baby.

The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is an annual celebration of culture from various regions of the world. It typically attracts more than one million visitors each year. This year, the Festival featured three main programs: Campus and Community: Public and Land-grant Universities and the USDA at 150; Creativity and Crisis: Unfolding The AIDS Memorial Quilt; and Citified: Arts and Creativity East of the Anacostia River. Maryland 4-H members and FirstPic, Inc. volunteers demonstrated their science, engineering, and technology skills and abilities learned through 4-H robotics projects.

Josianne is a great friend of mine. She's a poet too and sometimes we write or photograph together. My first pic here.

Whiskers was a diabetic cat for 6 years, she always knew when it was time for her medicine (4:30 am & 4:30 pm) she lived a long and happy life, she always trusted me and we were very close.
She would wake me every morning at 4:30 am for her can of food and medicine. She would complain ( Meow ) when the liter box was unattended ~ loved to watch TV ~ watch the birds through the screen door ~ she had to have fresh water always, she would greet me at the door every time that I arrived home.
I will miss you Whiskers.

This was an exciting outcome. I've always had a hard time focusing when doing spontaneous street portraits. This came right out of the camera! Wow.'And Another Hunk, A Very Sweet One' On Black
Steve volunteered to help me with the first shot with my new camera. The flash went off automatically. I need to find out how to shut that off, but for now, this looks okay. It's going to be a long learning period, I think.
This is my first snap shot with my just-out-of-the-box Olympus E-30. May this new camera serve me as well as my Sony DSCR1!
