My new MacBook Pro just came in and, of course, I had to open up Photobooth and take a quick first pic.
Now Kairsten and I have joined the "We Will Probably Mess With Photobooth To Much And Upload Pics For No Reason Whatsoever" Club. We are very honored to be a part of such a distiguished group of people, and yes, we would love to host the yearly BBQ... especially since it's easy to throw the event as everyone will just be sitting around the picnic tables, staring into their iSights.

Breaking in a new 5DMkII seemed appropriate to do at Springbrook. It was fun to rediscover a full 35mm format again.. and find out the limits of some filters etc BEFORE my upcoming trip out west.
It also helps if you remember to transfer camera plates to use a tripod. In my case it turned into an opportunity to try some hand held shots at higher ISOs.
This one, however, had me borrowing my daughters tripod for a quick shot at ISO 100.
Best of all is the spiritual experience of just taking in the beauty all around us, even in the middle of suburbia, with those you love.

trying my new nikon d5100 slr. this is my first slr and one of the initial pics that i have taken with this camera. i love this camera. lens used is nikkor 35mm f/1.8g
Whiskers was a diabetic cat for 6 years, she always knew when it was time for her medicine (4:30 am & 4:30 pm) she lived a long and happy life, she always trusted me and we were very close.
She would wake me every morning at 4:30 am for her can of food and medicine. She would complain ( Meow ) when the liter box was unattended ~ loved to watch TV ~ watch the birds through the screen door ~ she had to have fresh water always, she would greet me at the door every time that I arrived home.
I will miss you Whiskers.
