First picture and post,D200.

First time with a high end digital camera. I have used inexpensive 2 to 3 megapixal units and film based 35mm cameras until I saw the results of HDRI and decided I had to upgrade just a little bit.

So out shoping I went.

I have been taking pictures as an ameture for 35 years with a number of diferent 35mm cameras with some good results if I take my time setting up my shots. I still have a lot to learn and have found this site to be a great help. I want to thank all the knowlagable individuals I will be dealing with in advance and hope we have a long and frutfull relationship.

As we started packing up from the New Year's party, Little Girl asked if she could hold her cousin, K, to help us get packed. Of course, it had the opposite effect as everyone went for cameras to take pics of the pair of them together. It was actually a very sweet moment, I just always have the luck to catch my daughter mid-movement anytime I try to capture her lately.

This is one of my first attempts at light painting. I think this kind of looks like graffiti (which is cool). I think I should have put some light on the shoe too. I'll probably do this one over.
