Somewhere I'd always wanted to visit, and never imagined I'd be able to.

The BT was then pushed into the foam body until the motor mount extended just a bit out the aft end. The forward end of the BT passed all the way through into the cavity excavated for the nose.

Another demo I did for the kids at Vacation Bible School was the CornRoc. They all liked it in the static display and some were dubious about the prospects of it really flying. The original build thread is on the archive here: www.rocketryforumarchive.com/showthread.php?t=49668

 

It was loaded with a C6-5 and, on the way to the pads, I could hear the shouting, "He's really going to fly the corn cob!"

 

The motor ignited without any problem and took off looking good.

the pilot was explaining the pre-flight check. we walked around the airplane to make sure everything was in order.

At this point, I took some time with some sandpaper to round and bevel the leading, outer and trailing edges of all the fins.

This was Gabes plane. It came from his connection in Denver. I got to watch it come in and 'park'. cool.

A rare occasion of having these two helos land at the same time at Holmes Regional Hospital. First Flight is based here in Melbourne, while Air Care is based out of Orlando.

i thought the pilot would be doing the flying. instead, he wanted me to fly. he had me get us out to the run way with the foot controls. it's quite the task to get used to, compared to our cars and trucks.
