I think I corrected my image upload size problems.
or something of the sort. I always feel as if I've stepped back in time when I go here... back to a time of secret gardens, rendezvous behind the topiary, "I am sixteen going on seventeen...", and so on...

The daffodil is associated with Lent, the 40 days of fasting and penitence before Easter Sunday in most Christian churchesand is known as the "Lenten Lilly" in England. There is a legend that the daffodil first appeared on the night of The Last Supper in the Garden of Gethsemane to comfort Jesus in his hour of sorrow.

Whenever I visit Kensington Metropark,, I try to bring along a bag of black oiler sunflower seeds. The birds in the park are quite tame and are very accustomed to being fed by park visitors. The birds will land on your hand or your coat or wherever you place seeds. I set seeds down on the railing of the bridge and within a few minutes this lovely Tufted Titmouse grabbed a seed and fly to a nearby shrub and had a nice treat for himself. This titmouse also brought along a whole group of avian visitors to this makeshift banquet.
