Ask any engineer and they will tell you it is aerodynamicaly impossible for bees to fly. Problem is, nobody bothered to tell the bees this, so they don't know that they can't fly so they do.
Snowfall on the first day of spring led me to bring a camera with me on a short morning walk before work. Nothing really caught my eye, and it was still snowy enough that visibility was limited. My consolation prize was this unexpected sunset as I was leaving the climbing gym later in the evening. I wouldn’t say that this industrial area of Blue Ash, OH is renowned for its beauty, but I managed to find a spot in the back of a warehouse with a reasonably clear view. I wasn’t the only person there - someone was flying a drone recording the scene as well. I wonder how his footage turned out?
at this moment, i believe coach rachel intervened and helped position his left hand. wouldn't want him to get too frustrated...

walking very slowly, picking his way between the river-carved holes and downed cottonwoods, Sam leads the way on our pilgrimage to prayer for a beautiful Spring and healing for our family and the Earth.

Mi amor, Oscar, waiting til the sunrise on the first day of Spring hit him on the little bit of face that was exposed. We went on a hike with friends and read poems of Spring here overlooking the Cook Inlet (Tikahtnu), the Turnagain Arm, and the Chugach Mountains. It was beautiful, and Oscar is always one to stop and experience beauty as fully as possible.
“Obviously, your carbon footprint is such that you've increased the global mean temperature, thereby causing both warming AND cooling at the same time; hence the global warming induced snow. I understand this may be difficult for you to comprehend but trust me, if Al Gore says it, it must be true.” ~ Mr. S. Smart

March 20, 2021 - Self Portrait of Me in the California Poppies and Wildflowers at Chino Hills State Park. Photo Shoot with Ayla Qureshi, Leticia Hernandez, and Andrea Parsons.
After feeding her new little ones she settled back on the nest. First day of Spring! Went back to check on the red-tailed hawk nest. Saw the male circle overhead then fly away. About 30 minutes later mom popped up with a field mouse in her beak, likely brought to her by the male. Great news as I'm sure she was feeding it to new little ones! Very windy. About 50 yards away and 50 feet high in a tree, had to crop, but thrilled to know the eggs have hatched. :-) Will go back from time to to time to check on things. Red tailed hawks mate for life.
To celebrate the first day of spring I took photographs of white blossoms! The blossoms only last for a short while to love to capture the beauty.
The first day of spring and I had to celebrate with a flower shot and one of my favourite models.
Happy Spring to those of you in the southern hemisphere and Happy Autumn to those in the north.
Lena and I headed outside to take some pictures. Today is not only the First day of April, but the first day in quite a while that it seemed nice enough to go outside!
The weather has been so crazy - I haven't heard thunder and seen lightning like we did yesterday for so long - it was so loud and seemed like it wouldn't stop - the the lightning was crazy and hit something down the street from us and sounded like an explosion!! Then the hail was crazy and lasted for several hours!!! Crazy for the first day of Spring :D
my friend anthony brought this back for me from cuba...you take her cigar out, light incense under her skirt, and smoke comes out her nose and her mouth.
I love it because it reminds me of Louisiana. It's totally the kind of thing to find in a voodoo shop.
Day 80
My daughter insisted that I wore capris today, to match her. She was celebrating the first day of spring.
Magnolia "Galaxy".
These curly petals were found at the J. C. Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Better large.
Today felt like the first day of spring so we smiled and ran around and took many photographs. The shadows were good today.
South Park, Colorado was first occupied by the Ute Indians, as much of this part of Colorado was. When the Europeans found placer gold in the area, towns sprang up. South Park itself wasn't much of a residence. The miners actually lived in Fairplay. At the end of this street is a recreation of a mining town during the time South Park was functioning. At the beginning of this street, a couple of the storefronts have cutouts of South Park characters. Trey Parker, co-creator of the show, grew up about 40 miles from here. Matt Stone lived a little further away in Littleton, the infamous suburb of Denver.
Altitude about 10,000 feet above sea level.
