Aberdeen's beauty queen.

I'd already previously shot hydrant #3 in a most artistic manner, so when @windsordi's challenge for today's fire hydrant dailyshoot came through, I decided go out and grab a few more from the same location. This picture shows hydrant #1, but if you're interested, you can check out the 3D "Wiggle" (Twitch) pics I also took of hydrants #1, #2, #3 (previously shot), #10, and #11. Clearly there are others I can add to the series -- but they will have to wait for another day.

The 3D Wiggle (Twitch) pics were created with 3D Camera for iPhone

We went on a yachting trip with the California Yacht Club to the San Juans. No previous yachting experience, except fo our captain who had some sail boat experience. Needless to say it was an adventure. We started from Anacortes, which is about an hour or so north of Seattle, WA. Great town that has undergone significant rennovation.

Another 'Waterous' water hydrant. There was a string of these along some undeveloped land. I think it was intended for use as housing, but then the land was all purchased by the DFW Airport.

I actually took this a couple of moths ago and forgot that I had it. We were called out on a fire stand-by and I say this sign in the front yard of the house... beside the hydrant no less. Ironic? Great photo op.
