Fire hydrant on the pier - I did a bit of post processing to bring out the picture that I saw when I took it. A touch of saturation and a bit of sharpening.

I always like to find a fire hydrant when visiting a city. My all time favourites are the ones in Zagreb, the only blue ones I've seen. (I can't believe I just admitted publically to having a favourite type of fire hydrant.)

While winding down the last day of our honeymoon in Key West, we decided to go on a scavenger hunt to find as many of the painted hydrants as we could. There really was no rhyme or reason as to why, but they struck us as unique enough to put together a collage and hang a 16x20 of it when we got home.

Many were taken from the back of our 2 seater motorized scooter.

FDNY will open up a fire hydrant like a sprinkler for block parties. This was on 7th St. in Park Slope this summer, just outside the BP.

Fire Hydrant

Something red. I wanted to get a different angle of the fire hydrant and I took several ones and I really liked this one. I was trying to get it all in focus but it was hard but I liked how it turned out.
