A fire hydrant picture, taken at night... or at least, EXTREMELY late at dusk. A long exposure used to bring out the color in the darkness.

These are some photos i took for my photo class. The assignment was to take a photo of a fire hydrant in several different ways.

While waiting for a car repair in Waverly, Ohio, I took a walk carrying my camera.

A water pipe with nozzle for hose. New one but no paint on the truck to paint it.

Last one was hit by a moving object.

Fire hydrants like this are common place in Canada - well in Halifax anyway.

Observations for EDC

The leaking water was illuminated by the firetruck a few feet away.

 

A shoe store, La Baguette Bakery, and Pollo al Carbon, my favorite local Columbian restaurant (they had the best garlic chicken!) were all totally destroyed in the blaze.

Week one of my second Amber Ludlow photography class.

I just loved the texture of this hydrant. I found it just about a half-mile from the harbor at St. Thomas.
