A fire hydrant picture, taken at night... or at least, EXTREMELY late at dusk. A long exposure used to bring out the color in the darkness.

We were hard at work in the office this evening when we heard a muffled crash and a barely audible squeal of brakes outside the window, down at the intersection below where we work (we’re on the sixth floor). When we looked, we saw that a couple of cars seemingly had had some kind of encounter, and that there was now a sixty-foot fountain where a fire hydrant had stood at the corner of Cloverfield and Colorado.
We don’t know exactly what happened, but we saw both drivers walk away, and hopefully everyone was OK. The only casualty was one of the City’s noble spigots, and the awesome firemen got to play with the water.
