Firefighters turned up at a house in my street. Some firemen went into the property wearing breathing apparatus but didn't seem to be in any particular hurry and there wasn't any smoke. Not sure what the deal was but I had my camera just incase there were any hunky firemen to be seen. Sadly there was not.
With the Matchbox basic mainline being transformed from a generic filled hell to one of almost complete licensed castings within less than a decade it would be churlish to complain too much regarding their new Blaze Buster II. Yes Matchbox do have scores of licensed Fire Engine castings they could use but sometimes either through cost saving or the whims of a designer they feel compelled to go "original" or generic to you and I ;-p
Its all plastic body is to be expected now though for me the whole thing has lost that visual solidity and futuristic styling of the original Blaze Buster and has been replaced with something more akin to the Hot Wheels line!
It isn't awful by any means for its pocket money toy status, its just not something which is probably needed and seems a bit devoid of any meaningful character!

I believe some countries which still have Toys R Us stores will find their lower priced Fast Lane 1/64 range dominated by the same overtly generic castings they've been selling for many years now. Almost certainly what inspired our own HTI to go fully generic and not welcomed at the time and now!
Nobody is quite sure who makes them but with certain predictability various Chinese toy makers have copied some of the castings, namely the emergency themed castings such as this Fire Engine. A semi-futuristic design which in all honesty is FAIRLY believable and with quality on a par with expectations of its very low price point.
Part of an eight vehicle set included with Yuze Toys products though this could well be the cuckoo in the nest as i'm not convinced they actually made this particular casting.
