After hiking into Hopewell Big Woods, Darin explains the conditions fueling the devestating fire that consumed over 600 acres. Darin Groff (NLT Preserve manager, Fire Management Coordinator and local fire warden) was the Incident Commander (IC) from the time of initial attack. In addition to his work on the ground, Darin took two harrowing helicopter flights, to assess the situation from above.

Today's photo was taken at the Fire and Ice gaming convention in Manitowoc, WI. The artist calls himself KO. He had a lot of really good work, mainly based on comic and cartoon characters.
Through out the year Hot Springs Offroad Park puts on a rock crawling event one of those events is the Fire & Ice Jeep Run. This event runs every year the weekend before New Years through New Years day. This year I had the chance to ride with a guys from Southern Mississippi Rock Crawlers Facebook Group
