It's my first time to experience in certainly one of the most spectacular celebrations one will ever see. The photos aren't in very good quality and next time I'll sort out the tricks to take photos in this special event.

The famed Fire Dragon Dance Parade was originated in Tai Hang of Causeway Bay for more than a century ago in an effort to ward off evil spirits that were harming the Tai Hang village. The tale started when a plague spread out in Tai Hang. After performing a Fire Dragon Dance Parade and burning fire-crackers, disease was driven away and the villagers were saved. Since then,

the Tai Hang residents would perform the Fire Dragon Dance Parade in the Mid-Autumn Festival in memory of the incident, and to pray for good luck and good health for everybody.

The Fire Dragon is altogether 66 metres long with its body divided into 32 segments, all of which are stuffed with straw and stuck full of incense sticks.
