This is my favourite Tern image from my day out on the Farne Islands.

The Arctic Tern is one of the most aggressive terns, fiercely defensive of its nest and young. It will attack humans and large predators, usually striking the top or back of the head. Although it is too small to cause serious injury, it is still capable of drawing blood. Other birds can benefit from nesting in an area defended by Arctic Terns.

This is the first image of a new serie that I´m working on. To myself, I call it "the Bubble-project" :)

I´ve thought about the symbolism of this bubble for almost three years now. I think about the importance of finding peace in your own body, and being able to protect yourself from a sometimes chaotic world. How do you take care of yourself? Do you have enough space to breathe? Do you know where to draw the line? If someone goes too far, are you able to say No, or are you too afraid to let other people down? Do you feel comfort in your own bubble?

I want to feel safe. I want to see the world through my own glass, knowing that everyone can see my face, but no one can ever get too close.

My inspiration when editing this photograph was Terra Kate. I love her use of cold tones and soft light.

in Peacehaven. I love it when rays of light shower down. We were gifted this little treat as we wandered along the Peacehaven coast in Sussex.

Tō-ji (or East Temple) is a Buddhist temple of the Shingon sect in Kyoto, Japan.

Fourth time traveling to Kyoto and the first time I've ever taken the time to properly explore the Toji grounds. Seen it a dozen times from the bullet train yet never stopped by there. So we arrived a little too late to catch the sunset, but in the late evening... the garden lights up gorgeously, especially in the splendid late autumn colors.

It was a bit tough to capture the garden without crowds, but I made do!

Toji is easily reached from Kyoto station - either by walking (a short 20 minute walk) or hopping on the Kintetsu-Kyoto Line for just a few minutes to Toji Station. We stayed at a lovely Airbnb in Kyoto's old and traditional Higashiyama neighborhood called Yaeya Kanei-cho. I recommend finding an authentic Airbnb or Ryokan like we did, it certainly added to the experience.

Not where you'd expect to find such a mushroom...growing at a jaunty angle around 100ft up a tree! Odd 😁

I took this one a while ago but kinda forgot about it! The mini me photographs did really well at my craft fair so Im gonna keep adding to this series. Im also making a new website in which people can buy my cards and prints (plus more) with my work on it, at very reasonable prices! I'll post the link up once its done.

Asymptotic rail, symptomatic devices of vice and hindrance effectively countered by a brave and resolute look from a frail being.

//These words suggested by the inscrutable links of friendship serve to add Janos Kepes’s personal verbal articulation to Richard Wohlfart’s photographs, a single if relevant item of an infinite set of possible resonances.//

Low tide is evident at dusk and a few meters offshore reveal sandy areas where starfishes thrive. So yes my friends, the ones that I've shown you are alive and well as there are other star-crossed lovers which did the same during that day. Haha.

Happy Monday to all!
