"If you find yourself disoriented, consider surrounding yourself with people who see your strengths, goodness, gifts, and talents. They will help you find your way.”

― Laura Staley

Life changes. Finding your way.... finding yourself. Surround yourself with people that believe in you.... or run away to be with yourself. Yes, I do believe that the Universe is trying to deliver a message to me. Maybe I need to listen this time.

And on another note.... the last thing that I threw in my car before leaving for Maine (and yes... that's exactly how I packed!) was my Nike sub-zero jacket... .saying to myself, I am sure I won't be needing this... but what the heck. As it turned out, it was the thing I needed most! Hmmmm... the last thing that you think you need, is the thing that you need most....sounds like another message.

Finding some solitude in a picturesque park is always a great way to spend some time. This photo was taken in Central Park, New York City. This park is normally bustling with activity, but even here, there are plenty of areas to get away from things and enjoy peace and quiet.

This is a rare occasion when I shot a photo using my mobile phone. I had it handy, and the opportunity presented itself. The photo was taken beside a local pond in the middle of winter

Photo taken and processed with the Google Pixel 5.

The snow, a soft blanket muffling all sound, lay heavy on the world. A small, grey squirrel, its fur a perfect match for the shadows cast by the leafless trees, sat perched atop a snow-covered fence post. Its tiny black eyes, alert and intelligent, scanned the surroundings.

The squirrel, a picture of stillness against the stark winter landscape, twitched its ears, listening intently for any sign of danger. A gust of wind, icy and sharp, whipped through the bare branches, sending a flurry of snowflakes dancing around the creature.

Undeterred, the squirrel remained motionless, its grip firm on the weathered wood. A sense of quiet determination emanated from the small creature, a testament to its resilience in the face of the harsh winter.

The scene, a fleeting moment of winter beauty, captured the essence of a creature perfectly adapted to its environment, a symbol of survival in the face of adversity.

Temperatures in central Georgia are around 100 F right now. Shady spots like this offer a little relief.

Sennen Cove has a very popular beach situated just a little way along the coast from Land's End, the most westerly point in mainland Britain.

Whitesands Beach is a large crescent of sand that faces out onto the Atlantic Ocean, so it experiences the full force of the Atlantic swell, making Whitesands Bay a popular spot for surfers.

At the western edge of the beach, sheltering in the lee of the Pedn-men-du headland is the village and small harbour.

Sennen still retains much of the atmosphere of an old fishing village, with a small number of local fishing boats plying their trade from the harbour.
