Final sunset shots with the tree in place; it was cut down the next day after getting its roots contaminated with salt water during Cyclone Gabrielle
Under the McGee Creek Trestle near Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island, BC., Canada, a fallen maple leaf drifts down stream while rivelets, ripples, smooth circular hilights and rocks encircle it.
Late, late evening close to the midsummer night, in Våtedalen, "Wet valley", between Byrkjelo and Skei in Sogn og Fjordane.
Clouds make the evening even darker, but a final ray of sunlight hits the hillsides in the background.
Q027-19 is starting onto the connection to the ramp at Jacksonville (Dinsmore) after it's long trip from Chicago on Feb 21, 2016.

In the final hours of being in Wexdec, she though of where she'd come from and wondered where she'd go, but knowing that they would all go together and she wouldn't be kidnapped onto the ship this time, it was a relief. She stood on the relic of an implement of battle and looked to the horizon to see if the warriors were approaching and they'd secured the land.

Hope your week started on a good note? Last week while trying to capture some images downtown after the sunset a small summer storm cell was rushing trough the city. My wife saw that because I wasn’t paying attention to much after I got my shot at the previous location. After she caught it we rushed to this overlook to try and capture it. She is the one tha managed to capture the short video as well. You might know this but sometimes during hot summer nights we get “heat lightning” that can look awesome but can be challenging to capture! This is a blend of half an hour worth of flashes. What do you think?
Spotters have lined up on the platform and the window hangers are in position as 47440 makes a spirited start from Sheffield at the head of the final Down Rhinelander, Harwich Parkeston Quay to Manchester Piccadilly on 14 May 1988. 440 would work the final Up service through Sheffield noted as arriving at 16:23.
..... I wondered where home was, once upon a time, when it was flourishing and thriving. Even at this end stage, life abounds on these old gnarled trees, washed up on the beach, where they become homes for all kinds of lifeforms ..... lichens, fungi, insects, myxomycetes. You could spend ages looking at them. I frequently do.

Just going through some old photos and came across this photo of the communication mast on Pale Heights. With everything going on in the news it did make me laugh thinking about them taking on this much bigger tower!
Drenching rains flooded coastal catchments in NSW this week, dramatically raising water levels in coastal lakes. Fish gathered near suspected break points, hoping to escape to the sea. Fish eating birds like these shags gathered in anticipation of a feast. A few humans also braved the weather to grab a few fish. This lake breached just a few hours later. Shot taken from the comfort of my dry Hilux, using a Super-Takumar 150mm f4 lens. Baragoot Lake, NSW Far South Coast, Australia.

Hollow Rock lit by the scaping rays of sunlight, peeking through some ominous storm clouds. Constant change of the whether is nothing new on Lake Superior. No wonder that this lake is one of the most dangerous bodies of water for the shipping industry.

We had such a great time on our Arizona Storm Chasing Workshops! Yesterday was our final day and admittedly the storm forecast was looking bleak. Greg and I looked at several different models and decided to place our bets on an area out west of Tucson. Sure enough, several storms fired up while we were there almost exactly in line with what the models forecasted! We were able to capture some great daytime lightning shots as the storms swept over the vast desert.

"So this was it finally, the first part of the Hedy Patrucci’s Burlesque Show, long awaited and blanketed like the final training before a cup final. Hedy had invited her premiere guests to the Lyrics Ballroom, and the place was totally draped in matching decorations. After the big success she gained last year with her 2019 show, expectations were high for her this year’s show. And Hedy and her team delivered! – The costumes were glamorous, the dance acts fabulous and the different sets where creative and well chosen.
It was an extremely captivating show and best entertainment in SL. Though SL had its hick ups this evening for many, it couldn’t really harm the shining success of the evening. The enthusiastic applause at the end of the show was very well deserved.
Congratulations to Hedy and her team!"

Hedy's performance at the opening night was nothing more than sensational!
She was truly sizzling on stage - and is truly an entertainer in every sense of the word.
Those that attended loved it and she had the audience captivated and dying of laughter with her seductive version of Dr Long John -
All the ladies are booked to see Dr Long John after hearing Hedy sing this song in her unique and brilliant way!
Every song she sang was a masterpiece - combine that with her humor - her tease - really this last performance of Burlesque should not be missed!
Last but not least, the Burlesque Dancers were absolutely sensational and our choreographer Faith Fromund is fantastic!
So blessed and proud to have these incredibly talented and professional artists in my life! Thank you each and everyone of you
