One has to wonder what folks on US-71 in Fayetteville Arkansas think as one of the last two B-29's "Doc" flies over on its final approach..

not really final, just a stop for a cappuccino before work.
Despite the "noisy" decor, the place was calm and silent.

The final winter for the Green Bay & Western before the takeover by the Wisconsin Central. Here is the eastbound road freight at what I think is near Blair, WI. A night of heavy drinking in LaCrosse, WI the night before may have clouded my memory. Any corrections are welcome. Alco C424 #312 previously wore an experimental paint scheme, but by this time was repainted in traditional GBW colors.
We walked and walked, and walked and this was our final destination. We were walking in this beautiful nature for four hours and it was great, clean weather, trees, the river and a bit of cold. And we wanted to go more, well, we were thinking of going to the other station and this is the view of it, you can't see it, but it's near.
The final few, I just couldn't leave out of this 'wedding album'. Darius and Samoa both wear outfits designed and created by me :-)
Lipan Point, Grand Canyon, Arizona
The clouds had hidden the Grand Canyon in the morning, drifted in wonderful ways during the afternoon, and now, at the end of the day, provided a final show of glowing light.
In front of us is a ledge of Kaibab Limestone with a few small patches of water that haven't yet evaporated. In the canyon below we catch a glimpse of the Colorado River.

It was this cottonwood tree's final act of the autumn season about a month ago (10-22-2023) as golden hour descended on the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, for in a matter of days, everything would be either white or varying shades of brown following the first heavy snow.
Royal Air Force Panavia Tornado GR.4 ZD716/DH in special 31 Squadron "Gold Star" livery lands at RAF Marham for the final time before being withdrawn from service. I can't beleive that it is already a year since the very last RAF Tornado flight...

The 1966 Barris Batmobile is one of the components of the new 76052 LEGO 1966 Batman Batcave.
The first version of the car was a part of my Batmobile explorations (the other that happened being the Tim Burton inspired Batmobile used in Jokerland), and was called finished "for now" in late 2012 or early 2013.
The first draft differed only in minor details from the final version though. Most imprtant changes are the wheels and the stud shooters on the hood. Both elements not avaliable at the time I build the car. Other changes were limited to cleaning up the volume or changing the chassis for the new wheels.
The finished model might seem simple at first glance, not much crazy connections or world changing SNOTs going on here. This is mostly due to the way I work, constantly trying to make my models for the youngest audience possible, and adjusting them "up" as I move along.
In August 2013 my Boss (who's identity shall remain secret), and the LEGO Superheroes Core Team went to Los Angeles (because of reasons), and the little Batmobile happened to be in their luggage with other stuff.
After they came back I recieved the Batmobile back. Signed. By George Barris, the King of Kustoms himself.
Turns out someone my Boss met during his trip told him that Barris' shop was only a few blocks away from wherever they were at that time.
During a break they just went there, and hit the Jackpot. George himself was present, and they spent some time with him photographing his stuff for me, getting some goodies, posing for pics and signing the Batmobile...
After they came back I got the model, buisness cards and a bunch of pics and viedos.
The signed Batmobile remained how it was when I got it after the US trip. Not a sinlge brick was changed.
It recieved it's own acrylic box to keep dust off it and went on display at my office. It is only now, after such a long time, that I can show it and the pics I got together with it.
Fast forward to late 2014, I was asked to come up with the rest of the TV show, and the Batcave together with the Batcopter and all the other iconic elements of the series is the result of it.
I was heartbroken as I found out that George, who was one of my personal heroes, passed away in late 2015, and therefore couldn't see the finished LEGO Batmobile.
At the same time I'm glad that I had the chance to be a small part in the history of one of the most iconic movie vehicles of all times. And having my toy signed and approved by Barris himself is like owning a real Batmobile.
The Philadelphia Skyline as the sun starts to sink below the skyscrapers in what was the final sundown of official summer. One would never know summer ended given the string of heat we've been having over the past few days. Nonetheless, Fall is not far away. Please view large for best experience.

The one and only...........
VTST's Avro Vulcan B.2 XH558 seen on short finals to land at the RAF Waddington 2013 Airshow.
After sterling service both in the role she was designed for and more, she became part of the 'VDF' - the Vulcan Display Flight thrilling the crowds when her brethren were being scrapped and when the RAF finally ceased Vulcan ops she was sold off and acquired by the Walton family and flown into Bruntingthorpe for retirement.
However, after a campaign to ressurect her and a successful application for National Lottery funding, she was painstakingly bought back to life there before moving to her current home at Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport - ironically a homecoming for her as it was also the former 'V' Bomber base of RAF Finningley.
Since then she has wowed the crowds where ever she has appeared but now, with the recent news that 2015 is to be her last ever display season, the VTST team are gearing up for 'sending her off' to bow out in style with a number of UK Airshow and events already booked plus a couple of planned tours of existing Vulcan sites scheduled for the end of June.
With the inevitable progress of time, the news followed the decision by her main sponsors to finally withdraw their support as Vulcan 'expertise and knowledge' has finally slipped from within their respective organisations 'grasp'.
Not only that certain equipment aboard her is either now maxed out or impossible to replace - not least finding crew 'currency' and whilst the VTST had hoped that a couple more years of 'ops' may have been possible, with the corporate 'towel' now being thrown in, Robert Pleming and his team had to make the inevitable decision to end her flying days.
Whilst she may no longer grace our skies after this year's season ends, the intention is to take her forward as the focus of an educational centre based at 'Robin Hood' along with the continuation of live taxi and fast runs at future events.
It will be sad day when the 'Tin Triangle' leaves our skies forever!

This is what I used the self-portrait for! I created this for my 4H art project, (the judging is actually today). It's a collage of things I enjoy, plus a self-portrait!
Saeglopur - Sigur Ros.
For this final project I wanted to express what I feel when listening to music. Each photo was taken to a different song, creating a different feel and vibe to them. Aside from being inspired by music, I was also inspired by agnes-cecile - a brilliant artist who works with watercolors, acrylics, oil, and varnish.
