This Mig-21 is a classic Soviet era supersonic fighter plan. It is outside at the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo; I hope it is maintained, because it is a vintage aircraft from a bygone era.
I like this shot a lot, with the setting sun, blue sky and frigid snow.
I am eager to see how the DSLR version came out!

The classic Revell kit, converted from an F4F-4 to an F4F-3. Decals by AeroMaster, expanded to 1/32 scale. This model depicts the plane Lt. John S. Thach flew in 1942 as the CO of VF-3, USS Lexington.

From this vantage point, it appeared that the pilot of this WW2 fighter plane had his camera sights set on the runway..... likely waiting for a plane to fill the frame.
Only peaceful camera 'shots' were fired from this 1940's, B-25 Mitchell, medium range fighter plane.

A US Navy E/A18G Growler flying during the Growler demo at the 2025 Abbotsford Airshow. It was loud and the pilots didn't hold back. I can still hear the afterburners when I look at these shots.

Film makers are using Central Washington as a stand-in for the North Korean landscape. They are using the vintage planes to make a film about the Korean War "The War" is taking place over my house as the throaty sounding engines come and go from the nearby airport.
The Hawker Hunter T7 is painted in the colours of XL571 to represent the leading aircraft of the Blue Diamonds display team.
The Blue Diamonds were the official display team of the Royal Air Force, RAF, between 1961 and 1964 and still holds the record for the largest number of aircraft looping together, 18!
