So we're having quite the busy summer which is why I've been neglecting Flickr for a long time. I'm sorry if I haven't visited your photostream. I check from time to time but just for a quick glance. We went to Prince Edward Island with the kids. For those of you who don't know PEI, it's the smallest province in Canada and it is a joy to visit in the summer. We try to go every summer and the kids always have a great time.
PEI is well known for its agriculture, especially its potatoes. While driving, you can't go from point A to point B without seeing a farmers field of some sort. I noticed this wonderful one and just had to get a shot.
Saraburi - There are two flowers in one. I got this idea from my great friend, Scott N, who has a good eye for photography.

I found a lovely display of poppies in a field not far from home, & decided to hang around until sunset to see how the sky was going to look ... This was the result, just before sunset.
Late afternoon beside a paddock cut for stock field near Denmark on the south coast on Western Australia.
I went for a drive to visit some villages not far from my home and passing farms along the way I came across this field of Rape seed! The lines of the crop and the field of wheat in the background drew my eye forward. For many years people in these islands have been dependent on warmer climes for good cooking oil. Today Rape Seed Oil has done away with that need and now good quality Irish oil is used in many homes and restaurants as an equal to Olive oil!
Rapeseed is a Brassica and in fact is closely related to the turnip. It contains a very high level of erucic acid and until better methods of processing were developed it was not nutritious or palatable for animals or humans. Today that problem has been solved and as well as for cooking it is also palatable for Bio-Diesel engines:-)
Got some new stamps in the mail today and had to play with them right away. LOVE the Butterfly Fields stamp and knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to pair it with the Clouds stamp. Also broke out some of my new basic Grey Basics paper.

British artist Antony Gormley has developed a spectacular installation especially for the large Deichtorhalle: "Horizon Field Hamburg" was on show during the documenta 2012.
Visitors entered the north hall of the Deichtorhallen to be confronted by a space that is almost 2,500 sq. m. in size, nearly 19 meters high and virtually empty (see picture below). Here, a vast, black, reflective structure floated 7.5 meters above the floor, inviting adventure. The suspended, slightly oscillating platform exploits the structural potential and architectural context of the Deichtorhallen building, taking visitors into a new spatiotemporal matrix.
Update 09/2006: I've updated the license for this photo to a CC because it has been added to Wikipedia under the term "Agriculture":

This is a nice view of the Volcanoes Complex of Izalco-Ilamatepec in Santa Anna, El Salvador. This grass field seems to be a mixture of sorgo, grass and rice. This view is by the highway connecting to Guatemala in the Ahuachapán area
