One more photo taken on the tulip fields. They are lovely and colourful and a joy to visit on a sunny day but the tulip season will soon be over and as these are cutflower fields several rows are empty now. On these fields people can pick the flowers they like and pay the money they owe into a wooden cashbox at the entrance of the fields. Usually nobody checks if everyone really pays (I doubt it), but in general the system seems to work.
After a day of wildlife photography I have decided to drive the country roads in search of ice formation on fences, fields and forests. It was late in the day and the light was lower which was quite nice for ice.
Remember Kevin Costner 's film, Field Of Dreams? "If you build it, they will come!" This baseball field in our neighborhood looks like it.

A shot of Ryan heading up the narrow footbed towards Lady Peak and Mt. Cheam from earlier this summer. In the background peaks from both the Canadian and the American side of the border can be seen. This was a perfect day in the mountains and serves as a good reminder of what a great summer it was!

The song of Sting, one of my favourite song artists, talk about fields of barley but these are fields of "Lupinus luteus", also known as "yellow Lupin". Its yellow seeds, known as lupin beans, were once a common food of the Mediterranean basin. Today they are used for feeding animals and sometimes as a snack food.

This photo was taken on Prince Edward Island between Kensington and Cavendish. We'd been out for a nice hike on the Homestead Trail in Prince Edward Island National Park and were heading back to Summerside. The sun was close to setting and the colours were really beginning to kick off.

Marty Straub, Dave Cohen and I took a road trip to Hickory Run today... Stopped at the Chapel, the Lake and the Boulder Field.

This image is comprised of 30 different exposures.. I captured bracketed exposures to turn them into HDR blended images. I Ended up with 6 HDR images (using Photomatix Pro) that I stitched together with Adobe Photoshop's Photomerge feature. Then post processing was handled with the Nik Collection filters: Viveza and Color Efex Pro.
