I could take pictures of cows all the time, they are so relaxing and fascinating... I don't understand why we eat them. :-( I don't eat cows!

I saw this and it took my eye, the field of wheat before they turn golden.

Buckeye, Arizona has some of the most beautiful farmland I've ever seen. That night, the monsoons were coming in and it was blustery... I thought this shot was perfect.

Cemeteries are a natural pairing of beauty and tragedy, and this is especially so for the Marysville City Cemetery in Northern California. This is a pioneer cemetery – founded in 1850 by the first settlers arriving in California. The very large area set aside as a “potter’s field” for indigent individuals seems poignant to me. The cemetery suffered major flooding several months ago when Northern California experienced extraordinary rainfall. For this area of the cemetery, however, where there were no gravestones and monuments to topple, it seems that a lush green carpet is laid for these poor souls.

i love how this field looks! i wonder if they could make a checker board out of it??

The fields behind the house in the dead of night are quite bright with all the snow lying on them. Normally it's pitch black out there and you can't see a thing!

We stopped for ages, trying to capture this beautiful field full of poppies and other wild flowers - not easy, as it was quite a windy day. I'm not sure which, if any, I like best so I've included some more shots below.

This October has given us wonderful days, it's not raining, it's true, and this will be a problem, but after a torrid and so hot summer that did not allow it to stand out except in the shade, it's so enjoyable to absorb this sun and enjoy this light.....
