Flowery macro shot on breezy day. Nikon N90s with Nikkor 35-105 Ai macro on Kodak 2383 film at ISO 1.6. Developed in ECP-2 times and temperatures in 1947 Ansco color negative recipe w/Color developing agent CD-2 using Ansco bleach formula 706 from the same era. Fixed in simple sodium thiosulfate fixer.
Melbourne has just had the highest continuous run of 32 + degree temperature for March on record and very little Summer rain. We are baking here.

In other news, what a travesty of a Supreme Court ruling here in America. Way to take us back 50 years...
The Handmaid's Tale is supposed to be a cautionary dystopian fiction, not a documentary on the current state of our laws. The fascist Supreme Court in their infinite wisdom seeks to roll back America and turn it into their deluded fever-dreams of Gilead that never should exist. Don't think for one fucking moment these pigs will stop here. Next comes gay marriage and contraception. Don't believe me? Look at the traitor Clarence Thomas's opinion on the matter.
Now is the time to get mad and
rage against this gross injustice. Fuck the Supreme Court, and fuck the fascist GOP and any state that seeks to put the boot of tyranny on the necks of those already oppressed.
The madness continues with crowds never seen so huge around the downtown of this city.
One can only have a big smile and cheer and sing "Oh Canada" with everyone.
Hockey scenes break out everywhere after Canada beat the Swiss in a shootout lst night.
The weekend promises to be the craziest and most fun time of my life to this point.

This mural adorning the wall of a passageway leading off the High Street in Ledbury, Herefordshire, shows the poet John Masefield who served as Poet Laureate between 1930 and 1967 and was born in this town.
The fragment of text visible on the left is the end of the quotation "I must go down to the seas again", which is the beginning of Masefield's famous poem of 1902, entitled Sea-Fever.

One of the features at the NC Arboretum in Asheville are displays of various flowers in very large pots . Many varieites of tulips were still very much in bloom when l visited last Saturday ........l was impressed by the size and beauty of these ...which are called Tulipa "Gold Fever '

Kind of fun to go through the archives once in awhile....sorting & organizing and came across a bunch of images that I never posted from our outing to the Botanical Garden last spring, and since spring appears to be right around the corner, I thought it would be nice to take a stroll down memory lane...lots more to come this week.....hope you enjoy!!!!

I really love the summer shots of Lomochrome Purple XR film I took a couple of years back, so I decided to load up my trusty AE-1 with another roll for this past season. Certainly a film I hope to return to many more times.

Cabin fever began to pull on our every nerve so we left our warm house and entered the world of sub temps of minus 39 and went for a ride...the wheels on the truck went bump bump bump .....taken through windshield as hubby was driving ....
Recently, Taiwan has a great mass fever of watching and shooting fireflies. Many eco parks or mountain area become very popular. Hope we will not hurt the living environment of these precious little creature.
