The snow didn't last long.

Today we put the pumpkins in their place of honor: adorning the posts of the garden fence. It's a traditional sign of the coming of Fall, perhaps a tad early this year?

I thought this was interesting. The old wooden post, Honeysuckle, and the barn in the background.

There had been an icy rain during the night, which turned to a light snow by morning. The drive in to work was miserable, but I stopped to take a couple of shots of this fence and the nearby weeds in the sunrise.

I'm sure colonists in the late 1700's didn't have posthole diggers, but we used one anyway.

Random. At this point I taught Emma how to use the macro function on her camera, so from here on there is a steep increase in the number of macro photos I've taken because she wanted to play every time a subject appeared...
