Whilst I was outside watering my garden I had a sudden urge to strike out the camera and get a few shots of some of my new plants. This one in particular has to be one of my favourites as it has such a strong vibrancy of pink.
What I wanted to achieve with this shot in particular were the tiny drops of water that looked like little orbs nestled on the beautiful petals of this flower head. My secondary aim was to capture a more artistic shot by experimenting with depth of field and point of focus. I seriously cannot get enough of the Canon 100mm f/2.8L.
All comments, feedback, favourites and views are appreciated, thank you.
This is the first of a number of Roaglaan's decals showing the Mackinaw coat.
To give a bit of contrast I've painted the dark tan legs a shade darker, masked the boots and let the original plastic show as puttees.
Love to know what you guys think before I committ to doing any more - thanks in advance.
Please forgive me I'm trying to learn, this was again from last year - feedback would be very much appreciated.thank you for your visit.

I live in a bit of a vacuum & trying to get better at my SL photography via product shots (mostly Gatchas that I resell) anyway - If you have time - please let me know which of these photos you think works best - I was trying to capture the great texture maps but I I know to get better I need feedback from others -- thanks!
These are some minifigures I have completed recently, and a little project I have been working on for my story.
Hospital bed: I am going to completely redo the picture for the first chapter of the story, and I made a new hospital bed for it. It has a legs are underneath the covers effect using cheese slopes, and I may add a pillow.
Mr. freeze: I am properbly not the first to use the space collectible minifigure, I hope it looks alright.
Ra's Al Ghul: I changed the fig from bare chested to a green suit, using a old torso that came with my nephews Lego. Does it look enough like the comic version?
Wonder Woman: Based on the newish look, i added a black jacket and pants.
The Lizard: The coat is horrible, but i think the rest turned out alright.
Amy and Rory: Do they look enough like the real deal? The clothing is my own version.
Nick Fury: I added the gorrila minifigure torso backwards, is it distracting?

About this Shot
I'm really undecided about this shot. Part of me really likes it because it's quite distinctive and simple, though the other part of me thinks "it looks like half a tree floating in the middle of a dull scene".
In an ideal world I would have liked slightly more of the bottom half of the tree showing, but no amount of editing could do it.
I would be interested to know your "honest" opinion, don't worry I wont be offended if you hate it.

This is a local up and coming indie band named Feedback Voice from leicester, they asked me to some promotional photos for them and without hesitation i agreed. With many tracks of their own they are on their way to the top.

Feedback is a process in which information about the past or the present influences the same phenomenon in the present or future. As part of a chain of cause-and-effect that forms a circuit or loop, the event is said to "feed back" into itself.
Although there are a number of problems with flickr I still think it's the best, and I do think if you really want to you can get some useful feedback you can, but you do really need to ask for it. I've done it before and you've been good enough to oblige so I'm asking again....
This is the sunset that was going on opposite my previous shot.
I'm not looking for comments on this shot other than enough to satisfy what I'm going to ask shortly, I'm not looking for favs either.... I would just like if you have the time to comment using either 'like it' or 'don't like it', nothing else. At some stage I'll add in my own opinion but I'm interested to obtain other's opinions.
I will not be offended by those that say they don't like it, I'm trying to obtain some feedback that helps me better inform myself about my photos. In general all you ever receive on flickr and other sites are comments talking about what's good or right with a shot... but really it's the feedback that points out something that is wrong that is often more valuable. e.g. when I'm looking to buy something on amazon and I've narrowed down my choices, then I look at the negative comments in the feedback as it is generally a lot more useful to know what is poor about a product rather than all the comments saying what is good... of course by taking into account the good comments with the bad then you can make an educated decision... but here on flickr you don't tend to get that negative balancing feedback
I think it would be a useful feature for flickr to have... a like/don't like button, perhaps with option to turn it off for those that don't like to know that someone doesn't like there shot.. :o)
Another useful feature would perhaps tohave the ability to have a poll on a shot so that again you could try and obtain some kind of feedback beyond the 'lovely capture' variety.... of which I'm just as guilty as anyone.
I suppose thinking about.... if you also want to comment why you like or dislike the image then that would be fair :o).... although I doubt anyone ever reads this far... which will make it interesting to see all those people that fav the image because they obviously haven't even read the beginning of this description/message.

I had a fantastic day out around Hull with the lovely Sarah. A privilege to share in days like this. Sarah is a new girl emerging into the world and this is one of her first ever trips out. We had a great time, some nice interaction, Sarah got a nice compliment too when we were in Wetherspoons having lunch. She looked great and really enjoyed the experience. Initial nerves evaporated away in no time! 😊💖 xx
Just about to head out.
Changi Airport has a fantasticly simple way to give feedback. You have monitors everywhere where you can leave feedback. I believe that people are more willing to press a smiley more readily than either calling a number of filling in a feedback form because it means less hassle. All you need to do is click on one of 5 smileys and you are done.
Hello, im trying to make a version of the y-wing based mostly on the latest ucs version using only my bulk legos. So with my limited resources, here’s where I am. The cockpit, this is my first attempt and can’t decide if it passes the good enough test. I’ve cut up some of my LEGO stickers for added detail. Please give me feedback on the weaknesses of my design w the cockpit glass and behind in the cabin. Is it too blocky, choppy, doesn’t flow, more flat, less stickers. Etc. I’m looking for constructive criticism. Any help would be appreciated thank you

About me:
Its hard to describe myself because I am constantly changing. So to start, above all else, I am a bad ass bartender. I bartend at OPERA Nightclub here in Atlanta, Geogia. Its the biggest and hottest club in Atlanta. I also bartend at the Irish Bred Carrollton where I can fulfill my bar dancing passion to AC/DC, Buckcherry (Crazy biotch!), and Def Lepard. I love serving up cocktails with a little sassy shake some come by either place and check me out!!
Second, I am a model and one of the hottest female entrepreneurs on this planet. In modeling, I specialize in glamour, fitness, and promotional modeling. I always have something going on somewhere. I'm partnering up with NOPI as a NOPI CHIC for 2008. I love doing charity work so keep updated on my events and help us out. As an entrepreneur, I own half of a calendar production company with JM Polsfuss that is responsible for the hottest calendar coming out in 2009 Construction Cuties. Watch for it!! I also just teamed up with get this...yes...The Rob Sims....which we will have my website launched by the end of Spring to help heat up the summer for you. Also watch for all the magazine covers, layouts, spreads, etc. coming soon...I told you guys I'll be taking over the WORLD!! Lastly, I am a regular girl that had a dream and am still forcing it to come true come hell or high water. I'm from a small town, but I'm working hard to fulfill my big city dreams as well as those of other girls who want to be models with MODELICIOUS. So if you want to try modeling, don't listen to people when they tell you that you cant do it, they said I couldn't, and I look at me...so don't listen, contact me and lets see what we can do. I DONT DO ANYTHING FOR FREE....so don't ask. I have a small network of professional models I use and promote because they have become friends. Don't ask for my contacts, because I work hard in promoting and networking myself so why should I just hand over my hard work to you. If you want my network, you pay for my network.
THINGS YOU WOULDN'T GUESS ABOUT ME: No one would ever guess that I used to be in the Army National Guard. I used to be on Active Reserve as the RA for SFC Robert Cornett. I got out in 2005. I also used to wiegh 170 lbs. I gained a huge amount of weight when I quit drinking and smoking. Yea a lot of you thought it would never happen. I quit cold turkey and the turkey went to my ass. I lost 50 lbs. on the Subway diet. I was recently on the Coyote Ugly Reality Show on CMT and hated every minute. I also have a degree in Political Science and Computer Science with a minor in Military Science. Just some cool quirks about me.

The legendary high priestess of punk, author, poet, and raconteur, Patti Smith, performed her debut album, Horses, from 1975, in full at Sydney's beautiful State Theatre. The show also featured some of her other more famous songs including Because The Night, People Have The Power, Dancing Barefoot and Privilege. She encored with a wild feedback-laden version of The Who's My Generation. A wonderful evening with a stellar band and seminal figure in music.
I briefly owned a Nikon D7000 but found large spots appearing on my images. I discovered that oil was being flicked on to the sensor when the shutter fired.
A small number of D7000 users have had similar problems and have lengthy sagas to relate about the trouble getting the problem fixed.
The problem is disbelief at Nikon service centres and equal disbelief (often delivered in an ill-mannered fashion) by Nikon fans online. Nothing is perfect and a few misbehaving D7000s may not turn out to be a big issue, but the way the owners of these cameras are treated most certainly is. It is ungracious for them to be accused of negligent use, allegedly resulting in dust contamination, when they are innocent victims.
I thought that this pair of images might better illustrate the difference between dust on a sensor and oil spots. The images were taken at similar apertures, f8 at the top and f6.3 at the bottom.
The top image was taken with a Pentax K10. It was about three years old when the shot was taken and had 40,000 shutter actuations, numerous lens changes and considerable mucky field use. The sensor has never been wet-cleaned (actually never cleaned at all except the occasional puff of air). A few small dark spots can be seen (two are arrowed) and smaller ones do show at higher apertures. They appear anywhere on the image.
The bottom image was taken by a four week old Nikon D7000 which had about 800 shutter actuations. The camera had the same lens attached over the four week period so absolutely zero lens changes. The spots are larger, rounded and predominantly appear at the bottom right (i.e. there's a bias to where they appear, not randomly like dust). I have arrowed a few but you may well see some others that form a stream of splashes running diagonally up and right. A real challenge to 'Photoshop' out due to their size. Also, bear in mind that the image was taken at f6.3 so avoiding high apertures is not going to work. Yet this hardly credible suggestion has been posted in the forums. What is the point of having aperture rings on lenses if we're told to not go beyond f5.6 or something?
I am aware that the bottom image may appear dim on some monitors (I edited the image on a Mac with a bright screen) but hopefully the spots will show up. Click on it to get a view against a dark background.
Copying this image? Please do and show to anyone you like, especially service technicians. They keep saying that haven't seen this before...repeatedly.
I hope this settles the argument but I am not counting on it (actually, by spring 2012 it seems that the problem is now widely acknowleged; it seems only Nikon has never openly written about it). Intelligent feedback welcome; unhelpful remarks may be deleted.

[UPDATE END]
A new Sci fi Corridor kit from Dynamic Evolution.
SL Mp :https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Umbilical-Corridor-Kit/17830118
Video here: www.facebook.com/DynamicEvolutionSL/videos/406294273578133/
This is the very first Sci Fi product i've ever created for Secondlife. With this start, a Umbilical corridor kit that allows you to connect one place to another.
My life long obsession with the Alien series with Ellen Ripley was the reason I first started building mesh in SL in the first place. I've been so obsessed with making it absolutely perfect that i missed out on actually releasing what I could make.
I was so very scared of making sci fi builds because i never wanted to screw up or have it look like crap, So i waited until i felt my skill level was at where i believed it should be to release in a Genre i love so much. So I finally got the courage to build my first kit... I hope you like it
I originally built this to be a corridor bridge from a spaceship to another starship or space station... Or asteroid base. I hope you enjoy this Sci fi builders kit...
This, with luck and hope, will be the start of something great
