Frontal View- Both arm systems.
If you don't mind, let me know which one you think looks better. I have merged a lego torso with a minifig.cat figure torso so I kept the ball joint system in tact. On the left is my lego arms with the joints in there and on the right is minifg.cat arms with the elbow joints. The torso's will be fixed and colored so please just tell me what you think of the arms. I will also do something with the neck joint soon. Arms first.
Also, I know that the lego arms seem farther away from the body but when u attach a shoulder pad to the arms, due to the thickness of the minfig.cat shoudlers, they end up being the same distance away from the torso, so ultimatlety, they look similar with attachments on there.
Great Pond / Eleuthera Island, The Bahamas
The day that our group visited Great Pond on Eleuthera Island, I saw my first dragonfly in The Bahamas so, of course, I had to spend a little time taking photos of it. Almost immediately a saddlebags came to mind and I was thinking Antillean Saddlebags at the time as that one, among several others, has narrowsaddles as opposed to broadsaddles as in Red Saddlebags . But, when I returned home and began researching images and Dennis Paulson's Field Guide to the Dragonflies and Damselflies of the East, the saddlebags that comes closest to this image is a female Vermilion Saddlebags. Yet, this image shows even narrower saddlebags than the photo that is shown in Dennis Paulson's field guide. I have posted this image to Western Odonata this morning hoping for some feedback and confirmation that this is a female Vermilion Saddlebags and if it is, it would, of course, be a lifer ode for me.
Dennis Paulson Dave, the purple I can see on top of the frons and the purplish tinges on the thorax indicate it is an Antillean Saddlebags, Tramea insularis. I hope this is a lifer too!

MORRO BAY
The prehistory of Morro Bay relates to Chumash settlement, particularly near the mouth of Morro Creek. At least as early as the Millingstone Horizon thousands of years before present, there was an extensive settlement along the banks and terraces above Morro Creek.
Morro Rock was named in 1542 by Portuguese navigator Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo, who explored the Pacific Coast for Spain. Cabrillo called the rock El Moro because it resembled the head of a Moor, the people from North Africa known for the turbans they wore. However, the dictionary definition for the Spanish word "morro" ("pebble") is also consistent with the shape of the rock, and so the term morro is frequently used wherever such a distinctive rock-like mountain is found within the Spanish speaking world.
The first recorded Filipino immigrants to America arrived at Morro Bay on October 18, 1587, from the Spanish galleon Nuestra Señora de Esperanza.
While governed by Mexico, large land grants split the surrounding area into cattle and dairy ranchos. These ranchos needed shipping to bring in dry goods and to carry their crops, animals, and other farm products to cities. Thus, Morro Bay grew.
The town of Morro Bay was founded by Franklin Riley in 1870 as a port for the export of dairy and ranch products. He was instrumental in the building of a wharf which has now become the Embarcadero. During the 1870s, schooners could often be seen at the Embarcadero picking up wool, potatoes, barley, and dairy products.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, the town has been a center for beach holidays. Tourism is the city's largest industry. The most popular beach is on the north side of Morro Rock, north of the harbor. There are also excellent beaches north and south of the town which are now owned by the State of California.
In the 1940s, Morro Bay developed an abalone fishing industry. Having peaked in 1957, stocks of abalone have now declined significantly due to overfishing, it remains a fishing port for halibut, sole, rockfish, albacore, and many other species for both commercial and sport vessels. The town now combines the fishing industry with coastal tourism. In addition, oysters are farmed artificially in the shallow back bay.
A portion of Morro Bay is also designated as a state and national bird sanctuary. This means it is illegal to kill or harm a bird in that portion of Morro Bay. It is also a state and national estuary. Much of Morro Bay is a state wildlife refuge where waterfowl hunting is conducted during the season and is one of the few areas in California where Pacific Brant are pursued. Recently, Morro Bay was also declared a California Marine Reserve by the California Fish and Game Commission.
MORRO BAY HARBOR
Morro Bay is a natural embayment with an artificial harbor constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It is the only all-weather small craft commercial and recreational harbor between Santa Barbara and Monterey. Morro Rock was originally surrounded by water, but the Army built a large artificial breakwater and road across the north end of the harbor, linking Morro Rock and the mainland. Some of the rock used for this and for the artificial breakwaters was quarried from Morro Rock itself. Other rock was imported by barge from Catalina Island. The bay extends inland and parallels the shore for a distance of about 6.4 km (4 miles) south of its entrance at Morro Rock. Morro Bay is recognized for protection by the California Bays and Estuaries Policy.
Only relatively small craft are capable of passing the harbor channel. A large natural sandspit, augmented by breakwaters, protects the harbor from the Pacific Ocean to the west. At its northern end, remains of a bridge that used to connect the shore with the sandspit can be seen. Morro Bay Harbor's channel silts up and must be dredged every three to four years. Previously, the Shark Inlet connected the back bay to the ocean. Some have proposed reopening it to slow the sedimentation that is filling up the bay. There has also been work on reducing erosion in the Chorro Creek watershed to reduce the amount of sediment coming into the bay to form bottom layers of bay mud. Chorro Creek is the bay's largest tributary. It forms an estuary in the back bay between Morro Bay and Los Osos. The second largest tributary, and the only other significant one, is Los Osos Creek, which empties into the far south end of the back bay.
Mariners are strongly urged to seek local advice prior to making use of the channel, especially when whitecaps or wind-blown water is evident or a small craft advisory is in effect, which is very often. The United States Coast Guard regards the harbor as one of the most dangerous in the entire nation, while others put it in the top six on the West Coast of the United States. In 1995, the Army Corps of Engineering deepened and expanded the channel to improve safety. From 1979 to 1987, 21 lives were lost in boating accidents alone. However, many additional deaths have resulted from sightseers and fisherman being swept off the rocks of the breakwater surrounding Morro Rock. They often approach too closely to the waves and are caught off guard when a big wave set comes in. The slippery and jagged rocks only add to the danger. Public access to the breakwater has been revoked and those who venture beyond the signs do so at their own peril. Coast Guard Station Morro Bay operates two small vessels. Limited transient vessel services are available. Yachtsmen may wish to contact the Morro Bay Yacht Club. A public boat launch ramp is available at the far south end of the Embarcadero.
The back bay, roughly anything south of the Morro Bay State Park Marina, is very shallow. However, there is some slightly deeper water in the channels. The largest channel continues from the bay's main channel, winding its way towards Los Osos, on the southern end of the bay. The second largest breaks off from the largest about halfway to Los Osos and takes an extremely windy route to the sandspit. A few small channels on the landward side formed by runoff meet the largest channel as well. The narrow, unmarked channels are very hard to navigate and are filled with eel grass, which can snag the boat or clog the propeller. They are easiest to find at low tide, but if the tide is too low, the boat may run aground because the channels are only a few feet deeper than the surrounding water. An alternative to searching for the channels is to cross at very high tide.
During World War II, there was a U.S. Navy base on the north side of Morro Rock where sailors were trained to operate LCVPs. The breakwater on the southwest side of the Rock was built in 1944-45 to protect the LCVPs entering and leaving the harbor. Soldiers from Camp San Luis Obispo would come to Morro Bay and practice loading into the LCVPs. Many of those men were at Normandy on D-Day.

So I had a lot of fun with doing my top ten favorite villains list and sot I thought id do my top ten favorite TV shows. This is all opinion, so be aware before you get pissed. Also, I cheated a bit on one or two and combined them, but this is my damn list so fuck it. So, lets get started.
10-Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Star trek tng is a fascinating look at sci-fi and the space exploration genre in general. While I’m not crazy about the first few seasons, I love it near the end. It’s just so rich with atmosphere and has such a creative and full world that you really can feel it. It’s a very smart, very clever, and very well exsiccated show with lots of interesting things to say, and great writing to do so.
9-Firefly
What’s better then a joss whedon space western staring Nathan fillion? Will 8 things obviously but this show still seriously kicks ass. It has incredible writing that is masterfully performed by amazing actors. The only thing stopping this show from being higher on the list is its lack of seasons. Other then that, it’s a funny, action packed thrill ride from start to finish that I recommend to anyone looking for adventure and fun in space.
8-Justice League and Justice League Unlimited
So yeah, this is kind of a tie, but jlu is basically just a continuation of the original show, so I think its ok to group these two together. Anyways, justice league manages to really get how these larger then life heroes would interact. How they are still people, even though they have godlike powers, and how they manage to deal with the fears of the world, and of each other. Every character has there own voice and you always know how one would feel about something, even if they don’t say it. It’s a perfect comic book adaptation that every dc fan should watch
7-Young Justice
I toiled over weather to put this or justice league at this spot, but I had to go with young justice just for its unapologetic love for its source material and the amazing way it adapts the comics into a different medium (cough* arrow *cough). I love how they hit the ground running with its immediately recognizable comic book characters and anything goes mentality towards storytelling, yet still manages to have compelling character drama.
6-Monty Python and Fawlty Towers
Did I even need to say it? These two are some of the funniest shows ever made and what every comedy after them should strive towards. The reason I put them together is because towers feels like a python sketch that got extended into a full series without being dragged out or overdone. What else can I say? These two are legendary enough, and if you haven’t seen them, we need to have a little chat.
5-Futurama
A sci-fi comedy by the same guys behind the Simpson’s? Sign me up. I’ve always preferred futurama to the Simpson’s, mainly the sci-fi moments and more abstract elements add to the comedic feel of the whole show. It’s incredibly cleaver, and isn’t afraid to comment on society. All the characters are don so well with each being funny and deep at the same time. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants smart humor, with an edge to it.
4-South Park
I don’t think I like South Park for the reason most people like South Park. Its not for the raunchy-ness, or the “how far will they go” humor (although I do like both), no, what really gets me to love south park is how they can realistically (to a certain extent) take the point of view of a kid, and turn it into a zany, yet interesting critique on society, while still being having that child like viewpoint. It’s hysterical, fun, and crazy as hell.
3-Doctor who
Here I’m specifically talking about the rebooted series. The original series will always have a place in my heart, but the new series is just so much fun, and has so much character and is so well written. I love the sci-fi and I love how adventures it feels and l=how likable the main characters are. I love how recognizable the villains have become and how much it’s grown since its humble beginnings, and for good reason. If you haven’t watch dr who, go watch dr who.
2-Avatar, The Last Airbendeder
This is the best animated series of all time, period. It is so deep and has such good characters yet still manages to be light hearted and genuinely funny, but its also dark and serious. It’s so well balanced that it’s hard not to love it. It’s practically Shakespearian in character depth. The art is beautiful and perfectly matches the tone of the world around it. It’s an astounding work of art, and if you haven’t seen it, change that!
Now before I get to number, lets go through so me honorable mentions.
The Spectacular Spiderman: perfectly capturing the tone and atmosphere of the original 60’s comic while updating and adding to the things that needed it. Easily the best version of the character ever put to screen
Sherlock: a well-written, well acted mini series that’s a dark, yet fun spin on the source material
Batman Beyond: the perfect way to end the batman mythos in my opinion. It’s really original, and has great banter between terry and old Bruce.
Wolverine And The X-men: this show is not talked about enough. It takes its source material and really captures it perfectly. Great voice cast and great writing, a must watch for any x-men fan
Teen titans: a nostalgic character driven show with a fun art style and great character writing, but with enough dark elements to keep it from being to cutesy
Avengers, Earths Mightiest Heroes: like the avengers are the marvel version of the justice league, their respective cartoons do it similarly. It’s well written and is pretty stylized, but also draws from silver age marvel to get this great marvel show
Bob’s Burgers: great humor, mixed with great voice acting, mixed with enough crazy character drama to make this show funny as hell
Batman, TAS: amazing art style and fantastic writing, and easily the best voice cast the batman franchise has ever had, batman TAS is easily the best version of the dark knight yet.
And now for number one, drum role please

1-Arrow
How could I not put this show at number one? It’s a great adaptation of the original comic and has some of the best writing of any show in years. Its crowning achievement is it main character, who is a perfect adaptation of… of, BWAHAHAHAHA
Sorry, couldn’t say that with a strait face. Arrow is fucking terrible, but I'm addicted, so fuck me. DO NOT WATCH, unless your morbidly curios, anyways.
Now for my real number 1
1-Game of Thrones
This show is all about character, and considering I’m constantly mentioning it here, there’s a reason this show is number 1. There are now good guys, or bad guys, just characters, with different motivations, and conflicting ideals. Some are in power, some are not. In a way, there isn’t a plot. Only characters, and their actions, and its reproductions in this world. Speaking of, the world is rich and full of history, and 12 kinds of insane depth. I honestly know more about the world of GoT then I do real American history. #imahugefuckingnerd. If you plan on watch GoT, id read the first book or two before you do. If this show has a fault, it’s that it’s horrible at explaining what’s happening, and just throws you in assuming you already know what’s going on. It’s still an excellent series that I hope to continue for many years to come

I so loved that black dress that I wore on Sunday night in Lincoln last month, that I decided to have another night wearing it. And it won#t be the last - I can see this one becoming a firm favourite.
I found the feedback Liz gave about achieving texture in trees and plants very helpful. I experimented a bit with different techniques today!

What a fantastic weekend!
It had been a few months since Gemma was last in Hull (too long!) and for the second time this year (Birmingham in March was the first) we went to see Kinky Boots at the theatre
What an awesome show it was - again!
What made this time extra special was that my Mum was with us this time.
It was the first time my Mum (and my Dad, since he gave us a lift to the theatre) had met Gemma, and the first time they had met me in full glam.
After a brilliant show, we walked across town to The Star. The same night in Hull, Adam Ant was playing and our lovely friend Mike went to see him, so Mike came to meet us in The Star afterwards as well!

Oops - forgot this one from June.
So I got brave and bought myself an epilator!
I have to admit I was not looking forward to the first use one little bit! I have a low pain threshold. But in fact it was a lot less painful than I expected - and I have been using it ever since. I am a convert!
I think it helps that I've been on hormones for near on 2 years, which will mean the hairs are finer and softer, and it helps that I epilated under a hot shower. I would describe the sensation as similar to being on a beach on a gusty day, with the sand particles hitting you legs and arms. I thought my first session of laser hair removal was way more painful than this, and even that was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be.
My legs did look like a plucked chicken for the rest of the day though, ha ha!

Feedback is a process in which information about the past or the present influences the same phenomenon in the present or future. As part of a chain of cause-and-effect that forms a circuit or loop, the event is said to "feed back" into itself.
Although there are a number of problems with flickr I still think it's the best, and I do think if you really want to you can get some useful feedback you can, but you do really need to ask for it. I've done it before and you've been good enough to oblige so I'm asking again....
This is the sunset that was going on opposite my previous shot.
I'm not looking for comments on this shot other than enough to satisfy what I'm going to ask shortly, I'm not looking for favs either.... I would just like if you have the time to comment using either 'like it' or 'don't like it', nothing else. At some stage I'll add in my own opinion but I'm interested to obtain other's opinions.
I will not be offended by those that say they don't like it, I'm trying to obtain some feedback that helps me better inform myself about my photos. In general all you ever receive on flickr and other sites are comments talking about what's good or right with a shot... but really it's the feedback that points out something that is wrong that is often more valuable. e.g. when I'm looking to buy something on amazon and I've narrowed down my choices, then I look at the negative comments in the feedback as it is generally a lot more useful to know what is poor about a product rather than all the comments saying what is good... of course by taking into account the good comments with the bad then you can make an educated decision... but here on flickr you don't tend to get that negative balancing feedback
I think it would be a useful feature for flickr to have... a like/don't like button, perhaps with option to turn it off for those that don't like to know that someone doesn't like there shot.. :o)
Another useful feature would perhaps tohave the ability to have a poll on a shot so that again you could try and obtain some kind of feedback beyond the 'lovely capture' variety.... of which I'm just as guilty as anyone.
I suppose thinking about.... if you also want to comment why you like or dislike the image then that would be fair :o).... although I doubt anyone ever reads this far... which will make it interesting to see all those people that fav the image because they obviously haven't even read the beginning of this description/message.

After all the feedback on Lowlug and here (thank you all for that!) i made some chances. The entree is now made of wood and i used the same technique for the roof as for the rest of them. Also i put up a lot more tile on the roof and make some chances in the colors. I hope you like it and feedback is always welcome!
