Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback!

Finally! happy with this technique of extracting the background! I've now done it about eight times, and have committed the procedure to memory.

The model was not shot by me, but I have been helping a friend with his "glamour retouching".

Background is wrapping paper (I photographed) - not sure about copyright problems here - if anyone can enlighten me ... thanks.

I worked from a not very high resolution original, and there seemed to be a lot of compression artifacts. Click for the before-and-after edit in large. Let me know what you think!

This split-screen effect happening here is the result of some kind of ground loop introduced by a wonky VCD recorder that was connected but not being used.

I was so deeply touched by an unexpected gift from one of my Flickr contacts , Angela Coles, who wrote to me to say :

"I am always touched by your attitude to life Judy and your constant support of my work. I would like to send you something ....a little drawing perhaps ? ... You are a kind and comforting soul and I have a hunch an inspiration to many . Keep going ...and thank you Angela"

" I have so appreciated all your feedback and so little given to you in exchange. There's something steady and strong spirited about you and I know hundreds must also profit from this ..on or off Flickr. which is why I wanted to say ..it doesnt go unnoticed or appreciated .!.My excuse for not spending more time with my Flickr friends is that I am also pulled by the painting. Keep those blessings coming. and may you be blessed Judy in return. "

Hey guys, I want some feedback with some of the combinations I've been trying out on my Green Arrow figure. Let me know which one you guys like best, or which combo would work better (if it's not shown). In the end I might not even go with what is preferred, but I would still love the feedback!

Personally my favorite at the moment is A as well as D but with regular green arms (not shown)

Feedback would be appreciated. Viewpoint overlooking Cumberland Forest. In this image, I allowed for some closer foliage in the foreground pointing towards the forest as opposed to the prior image which focused solely on the layers and mist. I'm wondering if this picture feels cluttered with the foreground or does it give more of a sense of place? Cumberland Forest, Kentucky, USA, October 2014

A few days ago, the flickr counter showed 3 million hits. I never thought that possible when I started posting pictures here a year ago.

To say "Thank you" to all visitors, especially to those who give feedback in the form of comments and favorites, there is a picture per million.

yes, i've been playing with the corel feedback tool again. i'll try not to post another fb creation for awhile after this. i think the original subject was a piece of fabric that caught my eye. can't recall.

Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback!

Played around with an erasing tool. I removed three light colored buds. Does it look unsatisfactory? I'm trying to learn...

Negative feedback

Im always experimenting with photography, this here is actually light sensitive photographic print paper that I put in the camera to see what I could do with it. turned out much better than I thought. Its not as perfect as film in that the lights blow out too quick but its a cheap way to experiment and use an old camera. I metered the paper at 6 ISO, developed in rodinal under red safe light. I have alot more to learn.

Heute habe ich, noch bevor ich das Bild fertig und auf dem Blog veröffentlicht hatte, Feedback zu meinen letzten Bildern bzw. zu diesem Projekt bekommen. In der E-Mail stand u.a.

Happy New Year to all my Flickr friends and followers.

I captured this image on my very last visit of 2024 to RSPB St.Aiden's, Nr Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The low winter sun provided some fantastic light and colourful reflection on the water of the reed beds, allowing for me to create some dramatic end results.

Thank you for taking the time to view my images. I'm happy to receive feedback / comments.

Have a great day!

Fine tuning some details on my display and need second opinions/ input on these flames.

Here's what the entire scene looks like....French Resistance are fire bombing a German halftrack from the balcony above.

Not really interested in fav's/ "your the greatest" garbage or stuff like that just honest opinion on whether this combination looks okay/ realistic.

Not getting nearly enough feedback or comments on LegoFlickr these days - so please Like, comment & subscribe!

One of the best things of flickr is how we cheer each other on to improve our photographic skills. It is really rewarding when you get all that positive feedback.

Why don’t we do the same with other aspects of our life? Why don’t we make this the positive feedback week!

Why am I going on about positive feedback you say? Well last week a new client came in to our office because he received a tax notice and wanted to get all his taxes up to date. He came in last Friday and sent me this email over the weekend:

“Thanks for taking care of my "emergency" return so fast. You did in 4 hours what my ex CPA couldn't do in 4 years. Your easy, calm insight, and a commanding knowledge of the system, combined with no drama or theatrics, made my experience there so pleasant. I appreciate that so much. All I was looking for was competence, yet I found expertise. A very pleasant surprise in this uncertain world. How often do you receive more than you were expecting these days? it's rare. You are "the man". Looking forward to all that lies ahead.”

I loved his email so much that I asked permission to share it. Pay it forward with positive feedback!

Here's a render of a custom General Leia I've been working on the past couple of days. This is the first minifigure I've ever really tried to create a custom of using Blender so I'd love some feedback.

Many inspirations came from the Living Bricks and Legend C MOC version of Leia. I love their attention to detail and wanted to take a shot at it myself. At some point I will create a custom face print. I used LEGO's new dress piece so that she will be at the standard minifigure height. One day I hope LEGO will release this figure in a set, but until that day a work around will have to do.

I hope you all enjoy this photo. Enjoy the day and Merry Christmas!

A major problem about posting on Flickr is how little constructive feedback is offered to photographers by the viewers. I know from experience that a lot of members are really sensitive to constructive criticism, which sadly limits their potential to develop their skills. Hence the typical comment "Beautiful image", "Outstanding work", "Awesome", etc. on all images, regardless if good or bad, snapshot or masterpiece.

I am indebted to one of my Flickr friends for suggesting I try a different crop on one of the images I previously posted on Flickr. You can see the previous crop below. I think you will agree that the suggested change made for a much more compelling image. Thanks Robert.
