From the naturally formed viewing platform at the end of Glen Doll forest, we get a fine view of the Corrie of Fee, up which we'll be climbing shortly. On the right is Craig Rennet, dropping dramatically to Glen Doll. But to make the summits for the day, we need to push on.
After a trip back up to Aberdeen for meetings at the office, I stayed a little longer to climb Mayar and Driesh. Mayar stands at 928 meters (3044 feet) and is my 29th Munro, and gives me the 10% of Munro's bagged I have always wanted. Driesh, at 947 meters (3106 feet), is my 30th Munro and the 2nd of the two I climbed this day.
Corrie Fee, near Glen Doll in the Angus Glens, is a national nature reserve and lies within the Cairngorms National Park, It is a prime example of a glaciated landscape.

Tai O
Also known as the "Venice of Hong Kong", Tai O is also a hot tourist spot for both foreigners and residents of other parts of Hong Kong, despite damage by a fire in July 2000. The pang uks, a kind of stilt house, built right over the waterway are still quite scenic. A rope bridge tended by local women used to be quite popular with visitors, but it has been replaced with a steel pedestrian bridge.
The traditional salted fish and shrimp paste and storefronts at Tai O. For a small fee, some residents will take tourists out on their boats along the river and for short jaunts into the sea. Many tourists come to Tai O specifically to take these trips to see Chinese white dolphins. It is also a good place to see the sunset.
