NBA star Carmelo Anthony (top left) is surrounded by Syracuse men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim (left), athletic director Daryl Gross (from Anthony to the right), and women's basketball coach Quentin Hillsman. The group dons orange construction-helmets to commemorate the ground-breaking of the new Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center at Syracuse University. Anthony, who played with Syracuse during their 2003 Basketball National Championship season, donated $3 million dollars to fund the project.
This idyllic moment occurred at Giants Stadium during the Packers-Giants game in January, 2002. This tranquil looking scene belies the usual frenzy of an NFL game. I believe the game result was in hand at this point and my friend and son were basking in the Packer's win.
Note to football fans, this is the famous (infamous) Strahan sack game.

Colleen visits my Photo-a-Day regularly, so I decided to feature her in today's Photo-a-Day. It's sorta like collecting cereal box tops for a prize, only better. So congratulations Colleen and have a good wedding on Saturday!
Clerestory window featuring St Alban, flanked by Angels.
The stained glass by Rev. Augustus and Canon Frederick Sutton was made in their own glass kiln in the rectory at Brant Broughton from the 1870's. Although amateurs, their work was deemed good enough to fill some 30 windows in Lincoln Cathedral, including the west window. Their later work shows more maturity and sophistication.
The Suttons created the majority of the windows in Brant Broughton church, with help from C. E. Kempe.

Outdoor Garden Water Feature Fountain - Features / Fountains
Garden fountains are beautiful outdoor water accents. Outdoor fountains are used in public parks, gardens, yards, patios and decks. The most traditional design is a tiered waterfall with multiple levels where the water cascades down many levels of stone. A garden fountain is very dramatic and has a high degree of water noise and motion due to the water becoming airborne and crashing into the lower level pool below. The water finds it's way into the pool at the bottom and is taken back to the top again by a powerful water pump to begin it's journey anew. Some famous artists and sculptors have created garden water features which add life and elegance to their sculptures. Today craftsmen and increased knowledge have made available garden fountains for private residences.
