Homemade water feature ... starring Goldfish and 1 pretty Shebunkin :-) Made fom reclaimed materials faturing a discarded bathtub.
Fishies are in there and doing well. There is enough biology going on to keep the water from freezing AND the waterfall is still running so far ... down to -10 Celsius.
Of course I will not let any harm come to them and will bring them in to live with their brethren in the indoor tank

This lighthouse has been in operation since 1855....when we got there the old lighthouse keeper was raising the flag... (I know...I know...I should have cleaned my lens)

Indoor Wall Water Fountain Feature - Features / Fountains
Add ambiance to any room with beautiful indoor wall fountains. We currently have many styles to choose from in a wide variety of frame materials and waterfall face choices. Our skilled artesians are adept at metal fabrication. The metals available for the frames on your water wall have been chosen for attractiveness, durability and ease of fabrication. The most common metals used are copper and stainless steel. The unique marbled or patina finish is applied to the copper of the indoor wall sculptures one piece at a time. A clear coating is then applied to the metal to give it a high gloss finish as well as to protect the copper from naturally developing a green patina over time. On some of our most recent water wall models we will even go further and apply custom artwork or custom patina shading to the metal making your wall sculpture a true piece of unique art.

Outdoor Garden Water Feature Fountain - Features / Fountains
Garden fountains are beautiful outdoor water accents. Outdoor fountains are used in public parks, gardens, yards, patios and decks. The most traditional design is a tiered waterfall with multiple levels where the water cascades down many levels of stone. A garden fountain is very dramatic and has a high degree of water noise and motion due to the water becoming airborne and crashing into the lower level pool below. The water finds it's way into the pool at the bottom and is taken back to the top again by a powerful water pump to begin it's journey anew. Some famous artists and sculptors have created garden water features which add life and elegance to their sculptures. Today craftsmen and increased knowledge have made available garden fountains for private residences.
My 2010 oil painting, “Leisurely“, featured a calm body of water in dreamy aqua tint, over which swayed some soft bands, reminiscent of weeds or kelp, intersecting with shorter objects – an array of rowing boats.
At the first glance, all looked orderly – Alles in Ordnung. Yet, upon closer inspection, viewers will discover that the seemingly tidy boats in formation, actually were upside-down and they were sinking to the bottom, however serenely, especially the rower inside the completely capsized ship on the top of the painting.
So much for the idyllic scene – an allegory of our uncertain and oblivious time.
This painting was published by Wilde Magazine in Issue 2, 2013.
It has been choose to be part of the curated exhibited at Expressions Gallery in Berkeley (25 July – 16 October 2015: Water, Water! Water?.

For the feature, Yummy Magazine asked me to come up with a new flavor of cupcakes and share the recipe with the readers. I concocted a cupcake version of the strawberry cheesecake lined with crushed graham and topped with strawberry filling :) Very berry good!

7/25/08 – Tonight I’m drinking history, literally & figuratively. This morning, I had an undeniable urge to feature a Baltic Porter tonight. No particular reason really, just wanted a good strong Porter to drink. So I did some research online, & printed a most popular Baltic Porters list from Beer Advocate. Armed with my stay focused piece of paper, off to Bottleworks I went. Really cool thing is, the guy at Bottleworks backed up my research from Beer Advocate & All about Beer Magazine. So between the 3, I can confidentially buy what I actually think I’m buying.
I ended up purchasing 2 Baltic Porters, one from Poland, & a Swedish Porter from D. Carnegie & Co..
Though the Polish Porters are the more common to style of Baltic Porters, the Stark Porter is closer to what I would brew. So I chose it to feature. Biggest difference is the D Carnegie is top fermented w/ Ale yeast, whereas the Polish Baltic Porters are bottom fermented w/ Lager yeast. Another factor is the Swedish Porter is bottle aged…mine was bottled in 2006, for example.
The Stark Porter is pretty much what I envision a Porter to taste like. It was originally brewed in 1836, the brewers claim the taste is the same today as it was back then. Now that is 6-degrees of history. Just think, your thrice-great grandparent could have gotten drunk off off the same Porter.
One thing to keep in mind, this Porter is unusual because it has a lower than ABV than the average Baltic Porter. Most Baltic Porters commonly have a high ABV, which can exceed 9%. This is one reason why Baltic Porters have a closer relationship to Imperial Stouts than American Robust Porters. Conceptually I liked Baltic Porters before I even tried one, & the more I get to know the actual product, the more I’m thinking IPA’s should be sweating for their position as my favorite beer style.
