My mother and her friends in their stylish clothes, posing for the camera. Most definitely not dressed for the location.
For those who might know this place, circa late 1960s, this was Mines View Park, Baguio City, Philippines
Did a mini shoot with my girlfriend Denelle... I loved how all the pics turned out.
will upload them randomly over the next couple days
i'm not a particularly brave person. in fact, it took me nearly 3 years after college to actually pursue my lifelong dream of acting... and i still get scared. of the rejection, the possibility of utter and complete failure. it's been a rough ride so far, so in my mind that equals being untalented and worthless. in my head i know it's the nature of the beast, but in my heart it just... well, it just effing hurts. i wish i was stronger.
when it comes to fashion though... i'll do/wear/try anything. it's my outlet of bravery i suppose. hippie headbands? bring it. pleather leggings? of course. fuchsia lipstick? my favorite. high waisted, pleated trousers? hells yeah. 6 in stilettos? who doesn't!?
i started a blog about a year ago and that has been a real outlet for my general feelings of worthlessness because it seems to make people smile... so i can say that maybe i haven't gotten to act in an oscar winner or hell a valtrex commercial, but i wrote about something i loved and made someone laugh. that feels good.
My son felt bad for me since my entire season was cancelled, so he arranged for me to take some photos at Fearless MMA (where he trains). I didn't want to use a flash, so my ISO was cranked up and I shot through the fencing when they were in the cage.
Card that I picked up in a comic book store in Austin, TX. Sent to a Postcrosser in China who likes ad cards.
I.E. Tyla - who organised a great shoot today in Holborn, London at an old court building about to be renovated
My first shoot with models. Fun time, but I wish I was better at managing the models plus the actual strobist stuff.... Don't think about it enough before I start shooting. Key lesson learned today was to take less shots, but better ones. I have some that I think are OK, but don't feel any are really spectacular. Oddly the ones I like best were the natural light ones rather than the strobist ones. STill processing the shoot & will post some throughout the week
