The Faulty of Engineering and Information Sciences host the Illawarra and South East Region Science and Engineering Challenge on 29th July at the Sports Hub, UOW. Photo shows Some of the tasks including designing and building a small hovercraft.
Not really feeling inspired lately.

Song: "Dear Prudence" by The Beatles. Admittedly not a huge Beatles fan, but this song and "Blackbird" will always have a special place in my heart (And 'Blackbird' not because of Todd, but I thought it was the proper thing to do to plug friends' Flickrs). If it wasn't for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" I would never have even got to know and appreciate these beautiful songs. Or known that U2 used to be pretty good. Or at least better. (Big fan of their first four. Won't lie.)

I was getting tired of having to make running repairs on my ancient Chevron Flymo lawnmower so I thought It was about time I bought myself a new one. The closest equivalent I could find in my local Homebase was the Qualcast 1400W Electric Rotary Mower.
Unfortunately the grass-collector box fell apart during its very first outing. Specifically one of the pins that connect two jointed bars that form part of the frame sheared (intact and failed joints are shown in the photo).
So I can either go through the tedious process of returning it to the store, or start running repairs on my brand new Qualcast mower from day one!
