I couldn't believe how many there were all over the ground in Bill Baggs, Key Biscayne, during the recent migration. I wish I would have spent more time trying to get an open shot of this bird, but there were new species that were harder to spot, so I spent the majority of my time looking for them in between the raindrops. I was just as soaked as all the leaves are in this image.....but it was well worth it!

Yesterday, I was looking for whatever the crows were harassing. This Merlin rocketed over the bushes in front of me, banked around me, and dropped down below the bushes behind me. I didn’t even try to get a shot. The best part of my day - full stop.

It was quite dark by the time I arrived, but there were hummingbirds as far as the eye could see.
