Fall colors or autumn colors is called "ruska" in finnish. Best time to capture this is yet to come but at least we can have a litlle taste of it already!

An early fall hike up Horseshoe Trail, in Golden Gate Canyon State Park. I lowered the exposure on most of these shots, and was thrilled with the result... an homage to Thomas Mangelsen's style.
This swamp was created by beavers. It is a fishless body of water, and this is where bullfrogs, green frogs, wood frogs, American toads, spring peepers, gray treefrogs come to breed.

I found theese 3 leaves at a water next to a water power plant. I just had to take a picture of them. I just love fall.

There are very few undisturbed Cretaceous age fall line sandhill acres in Georgia. Much of this environment and been converted to sand pine monoculture forest. There are two State owned tracks of land that unfortunately have been mostly converted to sand pine forest. The long-term plan is to restore the natural environment. This is a nice wetland on one of the State owned Natural Area units.
