Every year at about this time I discover a few wildflowers which, because of the microclimate in which they find themselves, continue to bloom providing a pleasant surprise in an otherwise drab November landscape. The stalwarts are generally rudbeckia, linaria and asters, this example of the latter found in the back of my yard in the shelter of trees along the lake while raking.

Along CT 119 for the fall colors.

Falling water drop from a tap a feww mm above the water in a bowl with the visible impact of the drop before. Shoot this with the camera in my hand and not used a tripod or a drop machine with trigger etc ..

Will catch-up this weekend, sorry I haven't been more active my fellow "Flickrer's" :)

Northern Mockingbirds eat mainly insects in summer but switch to eating mostly fruit in fall and winter. Among their animal prey are beetles, earthworms, moths, butterflies, ants, bees, wasps, grasshoppers, and sometimes small lizards. They eat a wide variety of berries, including from ornamental bushes, as well as fruits from multiflora rose.

Fall color is like a box of something, ya never know what you're gonna get. These two images are leaves from the same vine maple bush. It is a very large 25 year old shrub in my yard and this year the leaves from each section of the plant came out in vastly different colors.

Forlorn by the Fall,.. and Winter is right around the corner,.. the most "dreadest" time of the year for me,..compounded by chy-na's "thoughtful" gift of the COVID-19 bio-weapon-virus-from-Hell they CREATED and unleashed upon us this year,..and every year to come it seems, because this shit's NOT going away anytime soon, ..between the idiots who to this day refuse to observe social distancing and mask wearing, and the drunken college party animals, who insist "C'mon man, its just a cold"..its going to keep spreading and mutating until everyone on this now-fucked-up-planet gets it.. or worse yet,..DIES from it..

oh well,.. I'm disgusted..

thanx china,. see you in HELL..

Falling Springs Falls, near Covington VA were really flowing when I came back from a trip to WV.

You're beautiful, that's for sure, even as you fade.

A little bit of photoshopping to give the sky a more dramatic effect and accent the fall colors more.

This one was so tame I could have brought it home for a pet! It posed nicely for me near these Asters, but I also photographed it near some yellow flowers as well.

This was taken yesterday afternoon ...not with the Sigma DG 150-500mm, but the Nikon 18-200mm. The lens was set at 62 mm, so it was pretty much in my face!

To better appreciate what I saw, View On Black. I also keep my laptop screen set at 125% magnification so that the View On Black photo pretty nearly fills the screen.

Fall is the transition from summer to winter; but yeah, this transition is beautiful.

Gorgeous fall colors in Denali National Park. Definitely my favorite time of year here.

Fall color in my garden

Some may be getting tired of my photos of this particular church (Rutledge Presbyterian Church); but as I have mentioned before: it is one of my favorites to shoot. Also, it has been blooming cold here in the tip of Virginia...and quite frankly, I'm not a cold weather person, so I haven't been outside much to make photos. (I've been freezing inside the house for days)! The main reason I posted this is because it is Thanksgiving. As most of you know, I am a bi-vocational Baptist preacher, and have been a Christian since my late teens. To me, this church symbolizes my faith that I have chosen to put in Jesus Christ. I thank Him first and foremost for all He has done, is doing, and will do in my life. I also want to thank each of you for being so kind to comment on my photos throughout the years. God bless each and every one of you!
