The largest in its 23-year history, the School of Business hosted its annual Accounting Networking Reception.
Dr. Ivo Jansen (assistant professor, accounting) delivered insight into how the tobacco industry uses portfolio diversification to support its core industry.

So while Cambridge is fabulous for classical architecture, there isn't a lot of good contemporary architecture around - a lot of hideous student halls of residences built in the 60s/70s which wouldn't be allowed within 1/2 a mile of listed buildings under todays planning regulations, but not that much which is actually nice to look at. The Law faculty building is an exception - it is a Norman Foster creation and the overall shape and the use of glass really appeals to me. Apparently it is a nightmare to work inside - the building is essentially all open plan, and the curvature of the walls means that the sound from the cafe perfectly bounces up into the library - oops!
