On Thursday, November 21, UTHealth recognized its exemplary educators, practitioners, and researchers appointed to endowed faculty positions and honored the benefactors who generously established the awards from 2017, 2018, and 2019.
The Master of Science concentration in Material Systems (MS_MS) is a 2.5 semester (fall, winter, spring half) post-professional degree that develops a platform for project based design research methodologies aimed at experimentation and innovation in architectural material behavior, specific assembly performance, technology integration and responsive material systems. The program is intended to develop new methodologies of architectural exploration that are based in cross-disciplinary collaboration. The program draws on the broad range of research in material systems currently ongoing at Taubman College, as well as close ties with University of Michigan's internationally recognized programs in Materials Science, Engineering, Art and Design, Integrated Microsystems and Environmental Assessment.

Nehru Group of Institutions has been instituting Shri P. K. Das Memorial Best Faculty Award & Life Time Achievement Award from 2009 on December 15th of every year, remembering the birth date of the Founder Chairman Late P. K. Das.
Dr. B. Anirudhan, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College, in his welcome address congratulated the winners whole heartedly. He introduced Adv. P. Krishnadas, Chairman&Managing Trustee of Nehru Group of Institutions, Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of NGI, Chief Guest, Dr.R.SRINIVASAN Member Secretary Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology, Chennai. Dr.B.Ilango,Chief Jury, Former Vice Chancellor, Bharathiar University.
Adv. P. Krishnadas, Chairman & Managing Trustee of Nehru Group of Institutions presided over the function. He congratulated the winners and encouraged the spectators to achieve the same in future. He insisted that the growth of this great institution lies in vision of his father, beloved Founder Chairman Late P. K. Das. He stated that the quality of NGI is in the hands of the faculty members. He also dignified the Guru is placed before even God.
Dr.R.SRINIVASAN Member Secretary Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology was the Chief Guest for this award ceremony. In his address, he emphasized the purpose and scope for the teachers to upgrade their knowledge. He praised the great vision of the Founder Chairman Late P. K. Das and his strong will of starting the education institutions in those days and was emphatic that everyone should get visionary from great people.
Dr.K.KULANDAIVEL, Former Chancellor, Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore in his address pinpointed that being a teacher one must transform the thought to action. He spoke about the importance of research stating that “everything is available in India and we should not depend on other countries for anything. The problem in India is that we are not giving importance to accountability of thoughts and ideas. In foreign countries faculties strive hard to maintain the consistency in their domain. Indian faculties should hone their skills to compete with the emerging global needs.”
Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of NGI, felicitates his wishes to the award winners and encouraged the faculty members to update their knowledge and qualification.

On Thursday, November 21, UTHealth recognized its exemplary educators, practitioners, and researchers appointed to endowed faculty positions and honored the benefactors who generously established the awards from 2017, 2018, and 2019.
These men and women are the first faculty at the Eau Claire State Normal School, during the 1916-17 school year. Each member of the faculty was selected by President Harvey Schofield during the summer of 1916. Most of them had experience in public schools; many of them had backgrounds that included prestigious domestic and international universities; and some of them stayed at the school for over thirty years.
