As the most prominent industrial monument in the Netherlands, the former Van Nelle Factory was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2014. Designed by Brinkman & Van der Vlugt, the factory is a classic example of the Nieuwe Bouwen school of Dutch modernist architecture, built between 1927 and 1930. The ingenious building was designed to provide all the facilities for the employees close at hand, keeping the building fully above-ground to create air, light and space.

Meetings, conferences and events in The Van Nelle

Until well into the 1990s, the Van Nelle Factory still produced tobacco. The complex was renovated and redesigned in 2000. Since then, it has housed a wide range of media and design firms and offers 12 rooms that can be booked for meetings, conferences and events for up to 5,000 people. Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Factory Butte is a 6,302-foot summit in the Upper Blue Hills in northern Wayne County, Utah, United States, about 12 miles northwest of Hanksville and about 14 miles east of Capitol Reef National Park boundary. The approach and the base of Factory Butte are made of the clay/silt mudstone of the Mancos rock type, which erodes into sharp rills, deep gullies and badland-type rock (fine-grained clay/mud). The crown of the Butte is Mesa Verde sandstone, which erodes into sheer vertical cliffs.

Found this by driving the side streets in Fredericksburg; this factory had the appearance of being shut down and abandoned. The sign above the door reading "furniture" was painted on top of something else. I'm not sure what it used to say.

I was attracted (as I always am lol) to the grunge and decay. Also the red walls and red door were striking.

... All butte, no factory.

Factory Butte is an eye-catching land formation located along Route 24 at Cainville, Wayne County in southeast Utah, USA. It was named by early settlers of this region because of its resemblance to a mill in Provo, Utah. Image taken seven minutes after sunrise, April 27, 2016.
