Factory Butte is the most recognizable feature of a large area of stark, barren land either side of the Fremont River known as the Upper Blue Hills, bordered by Capitol Reef to the west, the Henry Mountains to the south, San Rafael Swell to the north and the San Rafael Desert to the east. I had been to the area around few times before, but never could find an image I liked. Not until I got up at 5 to be there a clear morning sunrise . The above image was taken few minutes after the sunrise .3 shots panoramic from a DJI Air 2S

The White Factory

The White Factory – Ludwik Geyer's factory building located at 282/284 Piotrkowska Street in Łódź, currently home to the Central Textile Museum.

The factory was built in 1835 and opened in 1837.

A historical monument since 2015. This complex of classicist buildings is one of the oldest examples of industrial architecture in Poland.

Sandwiched between Capital Reef, Canyonlands and Escalante sets the Factory Butte which is an oddly placed butte in the middle of a lifeless and barren badlands. The Factory Butte rises about 900ft from the desert floor with mesmerizing ripples and distinctive veins of rock. I had been to the area around Factory Butte few times before, but never could find an image I liked. Not until I was getting up at 5 to be there a clear morning sunrise . This is a shot of Factory Butte in Utah. Shot in the late afternoon. I have never seen anything like it, the landscape is almost moon like. This is one of many locations in this area with equally as dramatic scenery. Sadly, I didn't have that much time in this area before moving on to Moab. It definitely warrants a visit (or return visit!)

Factory Butte is a 6,302-foot summit in the Upper Blue Hills in northern Wayne County, Utah, United States, about 12 miles northwest of Hanksville and about 14 miles east of Capitol Reef National Park boundary. The approach and the base of Factory Butte are made of the clay/silt mudstone of the Mancos rock type, which erodes into sharp rills, deep gullies and badland-type rock (fine-grained clay/mud). The crown of the Butte is Mesa Verde sandstone, which erodes into sheer vertical cliffs.
