This was the first visit to Ougrée when the first break was announced in 2012, everything was still running including the power station and boilers where the noise even at night was deafening. Photo taken during a lot of rain at the highest point of one of the furnaces
The Cotonificio Cantoni was one of the most important examples of the Italian textile industry in the 20th century. Founded in 1828 in Legnano, the company began as a small textile workshop and quickly developed into a large factory, becoming the largest cotton company in Italy for a long time.
Passing the familiar backdrop of the iconic Stewarts Lane warehouse building, 61306 'Mayflower' emerges from the down Stewarts Lane 'low line', at Factory Junctions, heading the 1Z19 17:37 London Victoria to Canterbury West, the second of two 'Steam Dreams' return charters to the Kent cathedral city on Thursday 13th June 2019.

Principal frontage of the former Aladdin Lamps factory built in 1931. After the factory closed, the main manufacturing area was demolished and the offices incorporated into a B&Q superstore. This has now closed too.
Originally a 19th century brick factory along the Mohawk River, currently converted into living space. Halfmoon, NY.

富士旅行の帰りに国道一号線で見つけた工場。
実はわたくし工場萌えもえです。
富士旅行の帰りに国道一号線で見つけた工場。ちょっと偵察に行ってくる!と云って1時間ぐらい撮っていた私です。
高速道路等からよく見える工場もいざとなると写す場所がない事が殆どです。
手前の白い光は鉄道です。
The Alaska Factory, Grange Road, Bermondsey, London SE1.
Alaska Factory was built in 1869 & owned by C. W. Martin & Sons Ltd. Its business was fur, above all sealskin fur, and eventually it employed around 10% of all the fur workers in the United Kingdom.
The Factory just about survived a fire & blitz damage & was in use for over a century, but is now flats.
