This is a study of the facial muscle groups of a man. Lately I am trying to break the traditional boundaries of what is expected of a cartoonist and to experiment various techniques not used in cartooning. I am not sure how this could be incorporated into conventional cartooning. But it is certainly a good skill to acquire. Who knows, one day I might really venture into some serious serial featured comics.

I think it was too subtle because the rest of his face-up is already so dark. This is just a test anyway,and if I don't like it I can easily remove it because he's been coated well. Or I might as well give him a new face-up when I have time.
